First thing I thought of.
Tagentally it kind of is as Steven Bochco created both shows and the line was popularized in Hill Street Blues.

I saw an episode of Cop Rock as a kid. For years I wondered if this courtroom scene where everyone broke into song was a real show or a dream I had.

seriously if Cop Rock was billed as a comedy I think it would have done better When I saw the first ads for it, i thought it WAS a comedy, couldnt believe it was supposed to be a serious show. |
