I can read and listen to Spanish at a rather high level. I speak it like a dofus, but I can still communicate.
My issues with speaking Spanish stems from learning from an Ecuadorian for two years, then from an actual Spaniard. When I speak I screw up all the tenses and conjunctions. But with that being my main fault, it makes reading/listening VERY easy. Also doesn't help that my own quirky way of speaking English compounds the problems inside my brain. I'm sure you guys have noticed those oddities in my posts here. I frequently insert random words and flip-flop stuff.

My parents pushed hard for me to have English taught to me as my first language but they always spoke in Spanish, so as a result, I understand and read it fine, just suck at speaking it or writing it.
