If we are doing live albums, Flight 666 takes the cake.

You can roll a die between Piece of Mind/Powerslave/Somewhere in Time/Seventh Son. All are equally great IMO. Iron Maiden's never made a stinker album, I think. Sure, there's some questionable material here and there, but nothing I'd consider really bad. The Blaze-era is usually blasted as a lowpoint for the band, with Bayley being the scape-goat, but judged on their own merits, "his" albums are excellent. He wasn't really responsible for the music either. I came into Maiden during the Blaze era, so I have a soft spot for those two albums. And I agree, Blaze was unfairly maligned during that time. I believe X Factor in particular is an underrated epic.

The thing i love about Maiden, eve their new albums are still fantastic and they do play a lot of songs from new albums on the album tours and not just play the hits (unless of course its a 'history' tour). Hard to pick but i went with NOTB, but AMOLAD, Powerlsave and SSOASS are easily all up there.
To be honest, Fear of the Dark i think is their weakest album. Yes, it has some belter songs on it, but theres waaaay to much filler. They should have cut it down to 8 tracks and worked their asses off on those tracks,

It was hard to choose between Powerslave, Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind. I went with Number of the Beast. Those are my favorites as well. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son is pretty close as well.

Not a huge fan, but 7th Son of a 7th Son was pretty awesome. Think it's the only album besides greatest hits I ever bought.

Voted Piece of Mind, but Seventh Son is lowkey one of my favorite albums. "Only the Good Die Young" is one of Maiden's best songs.
