Anyone have any recommendations for good headsets for Xbox One? I don't want to spend any more than $100 at the very most on one. Also, would I need to buy the stereo headset adapter with any headset I get? I know it's nitpicking a bit but I'd dislike to have to keep going to my settings to change the volume.

So I take it that no one has an Xbox One on here to recommend any headsets?

Depends on your control pad, if it's the original style you'll need an adaptor for most headsets (apart from the Microsoft stereo headset.)
If it's the newer style controller (with the 3.5mm audio jack.) then you'll be ok with most headsets.
I'd go with the turtle beach 50x as they're comfy and can be used on anything with the 3.5mm jack or the turtle beach xo one/Microsoft stereo headset as they come with the adaptor for the pad but still have the 3.5mm jack.

Yeah, I have the newer style controller since I only just got my Xbox a few months ago. I'm likely probably just going to get the official Microsoft stereo headset. Is the pad for it good though? Does it get in the way at all in any way while playing games since the pad seems to be pretty big.

I was actually looking at these but it seems I would have to buy an adapter separately with this one to use on Xbox?

If you have a new controller with a 3.5mm slot you don't need an adaptor.

If you have a new controller with a 3.5mm slot you don't need an adaptor. How do you change the volume & to mute on it? Is there something on the headset itself to change it with? I just want a headset that's going to be really convenient to use in terms of being comfortable to wear as well as being able to change the volume & to mute easily.

To mute on this head set you just flip the microphone up and it toggles mute volume I'm not sure about

Going to be honest, you'd be better off going into a shop to ask questions on the headsets mentioned as the staff will probably be better informed.
