So, Friday night I went out on a date with a girl from a dating site. We had been texting pretty much everyday all day leading up to the date. I thought we had a really good time. I know she agreed because she kissed me after the date, not the other way around. She was already talking about ideas for the next date and stuff. So, the next day she was going skydiving. I texted her around 4 to see how it went. That gave her plenty of time to be done. Didn't hear back until after 9. Then, the next day, I text her and she responds, but definitely not engaged like she had been. Today I haven't heard from her and I haven't texted her. Do you guys think I should message her again today? I don't want to look like I am not getting the hint. But, I do want to know what changed the 180 flip. But, at the same time, I don't want to look like I am thinking there is a problem when there isn't. What do you guys think I should do?

Time to walk. Let her message you. Sounds like she's not interested. Or possibly just busy. If she was that interested she'd make the 35 seconds it takes to text back.

It isn't that she hasn't texted back, just not really texting period. When I text her sh answers, just doesn't have the same vibe as 2 days ago. I am cool with keeping it moving, but it just seems weird because we had a good time, so I don't understand the change out of nowhere.

Take a step back. Don't text her today, see if she messages you. In maybe 2 days or so just casually text her, maybe something funny you saw or a meme or something to break the ice a little. She could just have a lot going on.

I was hanging out with this girl once and she says "Ugh. This guy always texts me and I don't respond or send one word answers. He doesn't get it". Then I started getting one word texts or no answers. Usually followed by a lame excuse like "I forgot my phone at home". I'd never seen her more than a foot away from it and always in sight. Like a new mother with her baby. I really liked her. Oh well.

And this is after meeting in person and having a good time. That is what makes it weird.

Either she's really busy or she's not interested. Stop texting to see if she texts you first. If she doesn't text, then move on.

I agree with everyone, stop texting and then see.
Happened to me twice, almost the same exact thing.
This is one of the drawbacks of texting.

You may be over-analyzing it and she's fine, or socially burned out (happens sometimes, especially with anxiety), etc. Give them some space and they come back or they don't.

It could be a case of her wanting to actually talk, and not type. Texting is one thing, but engaging in a real conversation, especially after a good first date, shows you're interested in getting to know her beyond thumb-tech. Texting can become impersonal if there has been a strong connection. I wish you luck.

I'll be honest even if it's morbid : I was reading your story and when you talked about her skydiving I was totally expecting that you were going to say you never heard from her again and thought she was dead.
But now that I understand that wasn't the case, I think you are in the "chill for a bit and see what happens" stage.
