My manager said they could've really outdid Marvel by integrating CW's Flash and Arrow into the film universe thus creating a bigger and more exciting buzz.

The way the title is this thread is worded, it almost sounds like Ben Affleck read a troll comment online, tears welled up in his eyes and he screamed, "I DON'T WANNA BE BATMAN ANYMORE!" ran to his room and slammed the door shut.

I don't think before this thread I'd even heard of Live by Night.

It must be awful to put so much effort into creating a new vision for an established character and have it be f***ed with by incompetent executives who, rather than taking their time crafting a logical narrative whilst making movies people flock to theaters to see, are instead content with shoveling shit out and going "Let's just get to the finish line". A vision involving "Let's have Batman murder 20+ people in cold blood" is not a vision that can be tainted by incompetent executives. The person who created the vision is incompetent themselves.

Honestly, Batman killing people didn't really bother me that much. Out of character, definitely, and it makes absolutely zero sense in a world where Batman kills that Joker is still alive, but I don't really mind it after how much the Nolan movies went on about that (while still having him kill a lot of people) and my favorite Batman movie is probably the 89 one so I'm not really in a place to judge a movie for Batman heartlessly mowing people down. Even Superman killing Zod biggest annoyances for me were that there was no actual reason he had to kill him in that situation and if he was willing to kill him he could've done it much sooner and spared a lot of people in the process.

Normally I don't like when a movie flops but damn I hope Wonder Woman & JL flop, JUST so they can scrap this dumpster fire that is the DCEU.
It's become comical now

Yeah, maybe it's because we've had a few iterations of Batman where his restraint was a major plot point, but I didn't mind seeing a more violent Batman. When you look at things like the Arkham series and TDK trilogy and how brutal he was, seeing him go all the way isn't a massive stretch for me.

I wonder if Marvel would be willing to loan Kevin Feige to Warner Bros. for a little while and let him straighten this mess out.

I listen to dc movie news and they said, (they being people who work within the industry) Ben isn't even signed to a dolo movie. Nothing was ever officially in contract. And there never has been any dates scheduled for it. Not even a release to shoot for.
It's believed he is waiting to see the reception of Justice League before making a decision. This has been discussed at length for a while.

Not to hijack the thread, but fear not, Bat-Fans! Ms. StuntGranny (I think I'll start calling her this in real life) and I checked out Lego Batman tonight and I'd dare say that it's my favorite Batman movie since Mask of the Phantasm. The good reviews are legit. This movie is so much fun if you're a fan of Batman and the little nods to "Bat-Things" throughout are great.

And that was Snyders call.."two different visions" but had they included Arrow and Flash, it would of expanded their universe far quicker and far more positively considered how well the TVverse is received.

WB has a winning lottery ticket in each hand and are just wiping their ass with them. It's friggin Batman and Superman. This shouldn't be this hard.

WB has a winning lottery ticket in each hand and are just wiping their ass with them. It's friggin Batman and Superman. This shouldn't be this hard. It's like almost every DC film gets slightly worse. They're not terrible yet, but the studio/creative make progressively worse decisions. Superman Returns - Okay, we'll follow directly after Superman part II. However, let's make superman stalk his baby mama. Man of Steel - Hey the dark knight did well. Let's apply that dark realistic view to Superman. Also Pa Kent dies in a tornado. Batman versus Superman - Hey let's keep emo superman. Also the Riddler uses Zod flesh to create derpy ninja turtle Doomsday. Finally Superman finds out Batman's safe word is "Martha" Suicide Squad - Hey we're bad guys but love conquers all. Will Smith plays evil Will Smith. Also to add a cherry to this shit sandwich let's make Joker into a club kid. I look forward with Justice League with Tommy Wiseau as John Stewart.
