And apparently he's in Daddy's Home 2. Should be interesting to see him play off Whalberg and Ferrel. Hold the phone, they're doing a sequel to Daddy'a Home?? Why? Why the f*** would anyone do that? |

I haven't liked anything Mel related since Pocahontas, and I felt that was one of the weaker 90s Disney Renaissance films.

I'm not seeing this, he's been a serious director for a while now. Making a comic book movie in a failing universe doesn't seem right.

Honestly I'm cool with Mel Gibson. I understand why others are not though. For me I try to separate the art from the artist. Because honestly, the majority of people in Hollywood suck.

Until WB can step back and let people even MAKE a film, hardly matters who directs it, given their interference. I would prefer they didn't give that f***ing creep money, all the same. Pretty much. Ayer was the perfect guy to direct Suicide Squad based on similar assemble heavy anti hero films he wrote and directed in the past. And he couldn't Escape WB interference and reshoots and cuts |

Bigotry and intelligence aren't mutually exclusive, a person can still be intelligent even when what they believe is dumb as hell. There are studies that suggest that people of lower intelligence tend to hold more prejudices, but someone with a brilliant mind is just as capable of holding some abhorrent beliefs. |

I was gonna say..there's plenty in history who were shown to be racist/show prejudice or be discriminatory and still show some layers of high intelligence in whatever given field. It's not a one way street. In relation to this topic, I've been hearing it talked about on the radio which means it's getting traction. I'm a fan of Mel's directing but not at the prospect of a SS sequel, especially as others have pointed out would wallow without Harley Quinn. Who would they bring? Letos Joker? God knows he was a hit. |
