The rest of the tokens will be announced March 3 "Monopoly day" but For Toy Fair 2017 hype Hasbro has announced that the thimble has been voted out of the game in their recent "Token Madness". I thought this topic was old news, since I thought a while ago that the thimble was already replaced in favor of the cat. Apparently the cat replaced something else, since I just looked at the version of Monopoly we just bought, and the cat AND thimble are there. Wonder what the cat replaced.

The thimble was fabulous!!
I think they should still have all the original pieces. And have the newer/trendy ones as separate add-on packs. But no one ever asks me about these issues.

Funny how Monopoly just was, and now it can't just be a game, it has to have new tokens, altered for shorter playing time, have hundreds of special editions. Wonder how many different versions some households have and how often they play? I played one where you didn't have physical money, every one had a "Card". Took a lot of the magic away if you ask me |
