This was obviously a personal slight against you Pig... what did you do to the Parker Brothers?!  He killed Yamcha. At least he didn't screw Yamcha. The only thing that screws Yamcha is life. |

I'm surprised they haven't replaced all the tokens with plastic ones.
Also I noticed the other day that the boxes don't say "Parker Brothers" on them anymore. Rather they say "Hasbro Games". I knew Hasbro has owned Parker Brothers for years but they always kept the name on Monopoly and Risk. No more. They apparently have done this with the Milton Bradley games as well.

Best thing about Monopoly was that episode of Cheers where the guys all played. Norm finally realized Woody wasn't putting rents paid by everyone in the bank, he put it in his own coffers.
Frasier gets mad, "WE'VE PLAYED ALMOST ALL NIGHT AND YOU'RE CHEATING! MEANWHILE I'M HERE STUCK WITH $5, ST. JAMES PLACE AND THIS STUPID PICTURE OF UNCLE WIGGILY!"

The thimble was fabulous!! I think they should still have all the original pieces. And have the newer/trendy ones as separate add-on packs. But no one ever asks me about these issues. While that would be cool, there were a lot of original pieces that were replaced as well. There was originally a purse and a f***ing awesome lantern. Still...I was an iron guy. And for the short time it was around, I liked the bag of money. I wish they would discontinue the mutt. Only little kids choose the dog. |
