Don't get me wrong, Jack and Jill was a horrible movie. But I did get a kick out of Al Pacino playing himself in the role, his attempts to hook up with Jill, his insistence on staying in-character at all times, and the Dunachino commercial he did at the end.

Will Smith was peak charming in Hitch.
Al Pacino had the best scenery chewing in Devil's Advocate.
And Christoph Waltz burst onto the scene with a perfect performance in Inglorious Basterds, then used the same affectations and mannerisms for every role since.

Jean-Claude Van Damme was JCVD. Because say what you want about the guy but it does take some balls to be willing to take the piss out of himself in a film that doesn't ignore shortcomings as both a actor and human being.

Especially in the one film he did with Dennis Rodman for some reason. Speaking of ludicrous action films: Expendables. All of them.

This is the most Christopher Walken thing I've ever seen and single-handedly sold me on the Seven Psychopaths movie.

Walter Matthau is at peak Matthau in the original, amazingly awesome The Taking of Pelham One Two ThreeEverything I've seen him in, he reminds me of my uncle. Just that devil may care appearance (messed hair, slovenly dress), deep voice. The 2 I think of are The Odd Couple & The Bad News Bears. There's a touch of those in the Grumpy Old Men movies as well. That's Walter to me.

Walken is great but for me Sam Rockwell steals the movie I'm sold. I'm watching this tonight after the kids are out. Definitely looks like a film I'd enjoy.

Steven Seagal. You see him in one movie, then you basically know how he is in the rest. Expect those straight to DVD films where 70% of the time Seagal is replaced with both a body and voice double.

I so very badly want someone to get nominated for an award for doing a fictionalized version of themselves, win, and have the award presented to them by DJ Khaled, just so he can hand them the award and say, "Congratulations, you played yourself."
