Is there a timeline of the engine used in fire pro? Like, the ps2 game is a improved engine from the ps1 which was brand new from the super famicom? I dunno if this answers your question, but this is all the Fire Pro games which shows off the engine

Tweet's a little old, but it's still neat. Looks like the Chris Hero twins & Bam Bam Bigelow got themselves some good seats There's also GIFs on the twitter for the Codebreaker & running into the ring animations

One of the most interesting random things to me is that in the time in-between Returns and World, there's been a massive explosion in Double-Knee based offense.
Should be interesting to see how many Double-Knee moves make it into World.

Figures, I finally got my PS2 home from my parents' house, and it doesn't have the power cable. Guess I gotta wait until I get paid this week to buy a new powercord (and a composite PS2 cable, since my TV only has composite cableing outside of HDMI.)

These new animations really put the community at ease when they came out because they are smooth, with different people working on the series (not all but many) and the game being done from scratch, we were wondering how it would look... Now we have to know how the timing on the grapples feel and how long the matches are in the new built.
I'll have to clear this with the mods here first, but when it comes out, I'll have a couple copies of Early Access (Literally a couple, probably 2) to hand out for free, courtesy of the Fire Pro Club (@fireproclub on Twitter, I handle it). I'd like to give them out to people who aren't really Fire Pro players but think they'd like the series. Sure, you can lie about not being a Fire Pro player and I wouldn't know, but we'd like new eyes on the game so...
Things are ramping up for sure, that event on the 31st looks like the place where they'll announce the release date.

I personally have no problem with it since people have given out codes here for games before (and also because I want one of those codes fitting into your description ) Make sure to ask someone else first just to be 100% but I don't see the problem with that.

I know I'm too well known to be able to get in on that...but this new member "Shaincaw" Fex Terguson might have a shot, maybe...

I've actually never played a fire pro game before, how do they work? Like I've heard they're good but are they completely different than any other game?

I've actually never played a fire pro game before, how do they work? Like I've heard they're good but are they completely different than any other game? Mostly, yeah. Like, to use a strike you need to be in a precise position, to initiate any grapple you need go into your opponent and time your button presses to the moment the hands touch him/her to execute the move, you need to actually start with weaker attacks before you go into more powerful stuff unless you want the opponent to counter (or you're VERY lucky and actually get to hit it), although you can try any move right from the start. Also, you can be KO'd and there's a whole bunch of rules that by default are by Japanese standards (20 count outside, 10 count for the ring post, etc.). In a sense, it's a way more tactical game than the WWE/WCW games. It isn't easy and it certainly doesn't hold your hand in anything. Once you figure out the timings for stuff, you'll feel like one of those "git gud, 0.1% GAWD TIER~!" guys in other games

I have seen some stuff in the past where people have these giant rosters of every wrestler you can think of. Also how much is this going to cost...does anyone know?

At least in this edition the rosters are basically going to be stuff you download online from a create a wrestler database. Probably the big reason why getting a PC version is going to be a priority

Price... not known yet. My best guesstimate is 20-25$. Early Access on Steam will be the cheapest and you'll get the full game when it comes out at no extra cost. Full game on Steam and on PS4 will be slightly more expensive than Early Access. Roster: It ships with 30 wrestlers that Spike openly acknowledges are only there because they can't ship a game without a roster. Legally, the game can't SHIP with the same rosters it used to, copyright laws in Japan have changed. The game has Steam Workshop support and that's where you'll find your roster, content creators are ready to go to work! We're working with Spike to POSSIBLY have access to the editors prior to launch so there can be stuff ready to download at launch time. Otherwise, stuff will begin to be posted within the hour after launch. If you want to play Fire Pro the way the developpers intended it, you'll use my work, most probably. I don't create anything new, I just re-create characters from the series exactly as they were. I might even do multiple versions of the same wrestler, covering the whole series. For exemple, if you want Inoki, You'll get Fighter Hayabusa from Pro Wrestling NES (Which, yes, was the embryo of Fire Pro, same creator) and you'll get Victory Musashi from Fire Pro R. But I might also do him from Combination Tag, X Premium, G & D; all with different movesets and logic. Lots of people don't like the default roster, and also, well you might want to play as CURRENT wrestlers, or as wrestlers that weren't ever in Fire Pro. That's when people like my friend Pete come into play. My friend Pete... series fans know him well as DJKM. This is what he's mostly know for... But he's got a hell of a back catalogue. www.fpwarena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=31I counted, and he's got over 7000 edits to his credit. I have 350-ish. Nobody else is over 1000. I plan to break 1000 in World, but barely. He has made SEVEN THOUSAND EDITS. And there's other creators too making lots of different stuff. We have a new guy who's come on the scene, he has a niche for obscure fighting games, so he's making stuff from Kasumi Ninja, Way Of The Warrior, Ultra Vortek, etc... He'll be working World, porting these and more. I suggested he do Yie Ar Kung-Fu and that will be in there. So yeah, the roster will be killer and people that know the game inside out will be making it. You'll get new wrestlers every day.

My guess is the stuff that will be on the Steam Workshop will NOT be automatically on the PS4 vault or whatever they have in its place. I'd recommend, as somebody who is on the pulse of the community, to get the game for PC. I don't know what the scene will look like on PS4. We've never covered the same game on two different platforms at once.

I ain't about to front, I'm straight up buns in Fire Pro, lol. I just like simming matches and watching all the craziness that ensues. That's my deal too. I just like making my own CAWs (which aren't based on "real" wrestlers in any way, they're all my own characters) and simming every match to see what happens.
