I posted this idea under an other topic about the idea WWE making 205 live is own little brand for it can break away from Raw. The idea was for it to lost the live part and be pre taped and they have an deal with Raw,Smackdown,NXT,WWE UK and possible WWE asia where there wrestlers can take part in the show

Is what you want the cruiserweights to be spread across Raw Smackdown and NXT with 205 live being exclusive for the cruiserweight title with the purple ropes? I think that is an interesting idea and it could work. I am not sure that losing the live aspect is necessary.

Yes. Make them their own brand and make it where they float between Raw and Smackdown for PPVS.

The 205 show is bombing on the Network according to Meltzer, so it is not going to happen.

They've got to stop taping it after Smackdown. It's burning out the crowd so badly that by the time they get to 205 Live every match is pretty much dead reaction-wise. Really they should start taping it before Smackdown. I'd rather have piped in crowd noise then barely any noise from the crowd at all.

It been hearing it been doing fine and ever WWE may look to do house shows for it 16th most watched show on the network. Horrible numbers for it being live and actual in-ring material. I looked up this week's #'s: The ten most watched shows on the WWE Network this week were: 1. Elimination Chamber; 2. NXT from 2/15; 3. Royal Rumble 2017; 4. WrestleMania 2016; 5. Legends with JBL interviewing Jimmy Hart (final episode of the show); 6. Fast Lane 2015 (not 2016); 7. 205 Live (so it was viewed by less people than a 2015 PPV show); 8. WrestleMania 2015; 9. WWE 24 WrestleMania Dallas; 10. Holy Foley episode 9. Talking Smack was 12th for the week

Aren't those rankings just for on-demand viewership? Considering it airs directly after Smackdown, a healthy amount of people may be watching it live. I recall there being talk a while back that directly after Raw is a prime slot to air new shows because people are already watching WWE.

205 Live will only work if it's taped along with NXT in a small venue and an enthusiastic niche crowd.

They need to get people to care about 205 Live first before they even think about making it a touring brand. There is no buzz.

I think 💠they should go the nxt route to make 205 it own brand The problem is the ads on RAW and SDLive, and their only source of PPVs are piggy-backing off of RAW/SDLive ppvs (I give chances of an all Women's Superstar-PPV happening before an all-205Live-PPV getting underway). NXT is it's own thing because nobody really crosses over from NXT and WWE main without the 'callup', aside from Kevin Owens. For 205Live to be its own thing, they'd force themselves into being the 'minor leagues' which arguably isn't a bad thing considering NXT shows usually outpace WWE main, especially the PPVs.

To me, the biggest problem is that it's too separate already. They shouldn't have their own show, they shouldn't have their own ropes and graphics on Raw, etc. They should be used on Raw like the WCW cruiserweights were used on Nitro. Have them open the show hot with fast paced six man tags and stuff like that.

205 Live will only work if it's taped along with NXT in a small venue and an enthusiastic niche crowd. This is what needs to happen. As much goodwill as WWE built through last summer's Cruiserweight Classic, they've basically wasted it all away in the four months since the Cruisers became exclusive to Raw. Nobody seems to care and when the ring crew starts to wrap the ropes in purple tape during a commercial break, you can almost feel the life being sucked out of the live crowd. I thought the potential to move the Cruiserweights to SmackDown last November might have been the kick in the pants that the division needed. But I think the best course of action would be to make it its own brand and run it similar to NXT. It worked in front of a small crowd that was hot for the action and knew the wrestlers and their backstories. It doesn't work in front of 15,000 people who haven't been given a reason to care. Another thing they should do is stop making the Cruiserweight Division exclusively its own thing and make it a part of the overall Raw product. The reason why the Cruisers were such a success in WCW was because they were a part of the whole show. Dean Malenko didn't just wrestle Super Calo and Eddie Guerrero a million times, he'd also go out of his weight division and square off with Jeff Jarrett and Curt Hennig from time to time. I think it would work better for Cruiserweights and all of Raw if they had guys like Jack Gallagher or Akira Tozawa stepping out of their weight class to have matches with the likes of Rusev or Samoa Joe.
