I would've been happy with Moana, but Zootopia absolutely deserves it.

I'd like to see one of the foreign animated films win sometime.

Take a shot every time we get Polical at the Oscars, you'll be dead within 15 minutes at this rate. Art reflects society and often vice versa, so it's just part of life.

Zootopia is the most optimistic movie about systemic racism I have ever seen.

I've only seen Moonlight, Hidden Figures, Hell Or High Water and La La Land as far as Best Picture stuff. My personal favorite was Moonlight, but I'm predicting La La takes it because it's a musical and the Academy loves musicals and films about Hollywood. That doesn't make La La god awful or anything, it's pretty damn good. But that's how it is. I wouldn't complain about any of those films winning. I think Zootopia deserved a Best Picture nod, but I'm also an animation geek so I'm biased. I'm so torn between Zootopia and Moana. I loved Zootopia but I think I liked Moana more. Disney is definitely back to killing it animation wise. They both rocked. Kubo was pretty good too.

Zootopia was a fine film, pretty funny, but I thought Moana was on another level, and I preferred Kubo to both of them.
Anyone who hasn't seen Kubo, go watch it. It's delightful.

I watched La La Land yesterday. I like musicals and I like those kind of stories....but I absolutely hated that movie. I dont understand how it is nominated for any award, except for production design which it rightfully won. Its probably the most overrated movie since Avatar.

Do we need this?

"Hey, look at these average people." Do we need this? It's very gross.

"Hey, look at these average people." Do we need this? It's very gross. I mean, I know it's supposed to be a funny kind of thing, but look at how they're paraded in front of everyone. It feels a tad awkward.

I'm sure the censors love the idea of average people having a live mic in their face in front of millions of people.
