Patreon sponsored again... and hey it's Comic related this time! Not BAD comic related... but hey it's closer to his usual schtick than alot of his patreon reviews.
The original Crossover of the DCAU where Batman met Superman.
I love this movie/three-parter even if it used the New "Joker" design.
Also for those wondering Linkara says in the opening "he will not compare it to BVS"
edit: I forgot about that scene of Mercy and Harley fighting while Joker and Lex talk.
Also he announced the topic for the March retrospective "month" (only a two parter this year) an Exiles Retrospective

Hear hear to the Harley costume rant. Even the Lego Batman movie didn't have it.

Was there a mandate about the Joker having shark teeth? That is bothering me.

So once again Superman fights a giant spider. I don't know why Jon Peters gets so much crap about that.

That does not look anything like a spider. the idea that Jon Peters wasn't pitching robotic spider-thing he was pitching an actual giant spider. 2. the fact that he wanted superman to fight a spider isn't even the main contention of the story... it's that Jon Peters wouldn't shutup about it. The crew didn't want to hear about it any more. 3. he was pitching the idea while spouting wildly incorrect facts about spiders.

Yeah a few did have upgrades I'd say Scarecrow and Ivy fit here. and others were kinda lateral moves like Mr. Freeze. Catwoman also is kinda lateral... though I didn't really like her face being chalk white...

Some of the redesigns I didn't mind, the updated Scarecrow was sick. But that later Catwoman looked awful.

Absolutely despise the new designs.
Mind I thought that era was poor as a whole anyway.

I always thought it kinda looked like they realized Batman Returns was a thing and wanted to make their catwoman look similar... but it was years too late. But then Selina herself looks more like her comic book counterpart... where the original design is a little closer to the Returns Selina... if only because of the long blonde hair

Justice League Action - which I binged a bunch of this weekend and really is wonderful - actually seemed to improve upon the New B:TAS design, adding his red lips but.....moreorless keeping most everything else intact (maybe a little more color in the suit). It looked really good, especially since it looked like Joker's face was drawn more like a sketch. Then again, I didn't mind his new look back in the "red skies" '90s Batman nearly as much as MANY others...
