I can't remember the last time he did any kind of review or video. His Patreon has dropped to less than 1000 a month. Did he retire

Apparently he's been pretty badly ill for a while, and that and a lack of motivation caused by it means he can't really put in the effort to do more than just livestream videos.

He still does Let's Plays from time to time and the rather rare Counter Monkey. Last review he did was the last Reb Brown movie he could find. I suppose if that was his last review, it was somewhat fitting.

yeah he's only been livestreaming and from my understanding banning anyone that asks about the videos.
the last thing he uploaded was counter monkey episode back in November about Psionics.

Sucks. In his prime, spoony was a riot. He was basically midcard in the halcyon days of like the nerd and the critic, but he's uniquely funny when firing on all cylinders.

He has depression right? Hopefully he gets better Bipolar Disorder, as far as I'm aware, although obviously the two aren't mutually exclusive. |

Probably not having to get into the character of the rage filled asshole that is Spoony a few times a month has probably done a lot for his mental wellbeing too. |

I still marathon his video's when depression hits me like a bus. Not joking when I say his and Brad's videos have probably saved my life by adding some much needed humor when I needed it. Whatever he has to do for his mental health is A ok to me. I know what it's like at times to have the world spinning out of control. Now off to my 40th time rewatching his Ripper playthrough  |

If he ever goes back to consistently making videos, I'd like to see him riff on more training videos. The Game Crazy, NES Repair/Support, and Wendy's training videos (i think those are the only ones he did) were some of the funniest things he ever did.
