This is actually a really good question, Ewan McGregor is probably the single best thing to come out of the prequels. A once in a lifetime match to the original portrayal and actor. Not to hijack the thread, but have there been any other young versions of established characters that are as good as McGregor's Obi Wan? Non Star Wars? De Niro in Godfather 2 is the be all, end all to this. Anyway..to answer the thread, Ewan. Not sure why, but Ewan. Love Alec, and convinced Star Wars wouldn't of worked without him, but I think of Ewan. Maybe because I really, really, really hope he gets his solo flick. |

Alec has the unfair advantage of being the first. If you take that away, I think Ewan did a better job.(and I don't like the prequels)
He showed a wider array of emotions than Alec, and felt like a fuller character.
