Racing and Puzzle games. Burnout Paradise and Catherine are the only exceptions.

Fighting games do nothing for me. I find them OK for an hour so but they tend to lack depth and are too repetitive.
Open World is hit or miss. If the world had lots to explore and discover then great. Fallout's open world is always fun with lots of secrets and different locations and I never really found myself traveling back and forth through the same place. Mirrors Edge the open world sucks.

MMORPG's. I can only take so many "kill xx enemies!" and "gather xx items!" quests before I quit. Also, never really liked playing online multiplayer so most FPS's nowadays do nothing for me (when f'n DOOM is still the place to go for single-player FPS's you know something is wrong).
Also not a fan of the "uber hard you'll die a lot" type of games, mainly because I don't like the way they play. Most of them just feel floaty 90% of the time and when they don't, well, they just feel too heavy. I appreciate what they do, but really can't be bothered to play them.
Also, Monster Hunter. Really don't like that combat or the repetitiveness of it.

Sports games. I have a hard time getting into fighting and FPS games especially online, but I am trying to make an effort to do so.

Online-only games. I love the gameplay of Overwatch, and I love the aesthetic and glimpses of story we get. But it's sat on my shelf for months because I find it hard to care after a few games. I want to find out more about this world, to explore and have some character progression, not just do the same thing over and over.
Also while I'm griping at Overwatch, any game that cuts off content for random loot boxes. For the minimal amount of content they give us for 60 quid, they can afford to give us the skins for free without spending every waking moment playing to grind out the levels needed to get the exclusive skins randomly dropped.

Sports games, unless they're arcade-style like NBA Jam.
I used to play MMORPGs several years ago, but got tired of the slow grinding, Pay2Win, and shitty community.

Character action, or whatever those DMC, Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising etc games are called these days. Shame as theoretically they should be perfect for me.
I agree with most first person games, there are exceptions though like the PS2 James Bond games or Doom.
Those who can't get into sport games should give Rocket League a go if they haven't already.

Visual Novels, like Ace Attorney or that Daman whatever it is series.
I mean; the most big budget visual novel ever, in my opinion, was L.A. Noire, & that sucked rocks.
Also, Rhythm games.

Stealth. I'm just so lousy at stealth. And if there's a stealth mission in a non-stealth game, I'm in deep trouble...

Stealth. I'm just so lousy at stealth. And if there's a stealth mission in a non-stealth game, I'm in deep trouble... It's kind of funny how most stealth franchises went from being actual stealth to "Yeah, just do what you want to get through it". Try powering your way through the original MGS or Twin Snakes and you probably won't make it very far and then massacre your way through Phantom Pain and it's actually more fun.

I despise sports games. I love sports, but the thought of playing a sport through a video game bores to to tears. If I want to shoot hoops, I'll go to a park. I play video games to do something I could never do in real life.
The GTA series itself. I always buy it on release day. Play for an hour then say "Huh. This is why I didn't like the last one." Then I'll return to it a later date and the same thing happens.
Other than that, I'll usually try a game before I decide if I like it or not.

Sports games, wrestling aside (though I consider those closer to fighting games).

Another one for sports games. You've pretty much seen everything the game has to offer in the first hour.
Similarly, one-on-one fighting games. Unless they have a fun story mode, like MK9, they're pretty shallow in terms of content. On top of that, I dislike how the modern fighting game has narrowed combat down to almost an exact science; there's something to be said for the relative simplicity of '90s fighting games.

Racing, fighting, and sports games are just no fun by yourself. Even with another person I don't love them, except Mario Kart.

Any form of MMO game. I was cured with Everquest.
I suck at strategy games, it's a miracle I beat the Shining force games and as far as I did with FF Tactics.
I also have very little patience for a game that's "Free to play, pay to win."
Life doesn't leave me a lot of time for RPGs anymore, so I'm pretty much down to puzzle games and the occasional fighter.

Turn-based RPG gamew, to be honest. I'm a guy who prefers his action fast and dynamic.

Haha, most games, really.
Not into RPGs. I can't stand first-person shooters.
I pretty much only play sports games and anything from the classic Nintendo franchises (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Star Fox, etc.).
