The sad part is that when the release the Skull Island porno spoof (an you know there's gonna be one), it's not gonna be anywhere near as ambitious as this.

So a Power Rangers porno is coming up? I'm guessing Linkara will make an appearance then.

This movie has fascinated me ever since I acquired a copy back in the late 90s. As far as I know, no original copy has ever turned up in all these years; everybody who has it only has some form of the bootleg with the missing titles. It's been said the "Lost On Adventure Island" title was for an edited version that cut out all the porn, but again, no actual proof backing that up. Add in a running time half an hour shy of the industry standard at the time (even in adult films), sex scenes heard but not actually seen (again, in an adult film) and special effects way, WAY above its stock, the whole thing is just a bizarre anomaly in the genre.

Yep,it was either late 90s or 2000 when I got a copy. For years the rumor was the same crew that worked on Flesh Gordon made King Dong. But I kind of doubt that rumor is true.

I doubt so as well. Jim Danforth and Dave Allen were still getting good gigs at this point in time, or at least decent-paying ones. If it *were* an experienced stop-motion crew or artist working here, I'd lean more toward the Planet of Dinosaurs guys than Danforth/Allen.
