I fully believe it's entirely possible that the woods of the Pacific Northwest are dense and isolated enough to hide a previously unknown giant bipedal primate.
I do not believe anywhere in North America is dense and isolated enough to hide a breeding population of giant bipedal primates for the centuries that Bigfoot sightings have been occurring without leaving any scientifically viable evidence at all.
The Florida Skunk Ape was a common escaped Orangutan who somehow managed to stumble onto something stinky and scare a random Floridian homeowner in the process.

Patterson Gimlin bein the topic; assumed the America thing was a given. Not tryna be a dick.
Though even in areas where Giganto was found, don't see it or a relative havin lasted this long with breeding population.
I can MAYBE see Yeti given there's hardly anyone up there, but again you run into no real evidence and breeding and food source issues. Latter even more a proble given the area.

Gigantopithicus might not even have been as large as advertised. The only remains they found of it are it's teeth and mandibles, and some argue the estimates that put it at 9-10 ft tall are based on flawed logic.

I am one of the many who believe the Patterson-Gimlin footage is authentic. Mainly because I can't see anyone going through the trouble of creating such a detailed suit, adding breasts, and add to the fact that even on his deathbed Patterson claimed the footage was and is authentic.
The limbs are wrong for it to be a human, as far as I know, no one walks like that in such a smooth fluid fashion and the muscles in the thigh is another sign that it was a living creature. What people need to understand is several forms of evidence has been found regarding this elusive creature. Hairs, scat, foot prints, vocalization recordings, and claw marks have been found as well. Not everyone is lying about these sightings.
People have seen or are seeing something that cannot be explained. As long as the science community is remaining skeptical, turning their nose up at the possibility, and as long as idiots keep trying to create hoaxes the reality that these things are out there will never be taken seriously.

Regarding the Patterson-Gimlin film, there's plenty of valid points either way. I personally believe that anything is possible. It's certainly possible that the footage is fake. It's just as possible it's real. For all we know, the footage is real, but the species itself has died out since it was shot. That footage was shot in 1967. That's 50 years ago come October.
riseofsetian1981, actually makes a very good point in his post. Cryptozoology itself is not a field taken seriously. It's a easy target for jokes and ridicule and that's just within the scientific community. They're seen as starry eyed dreamers and not even thought of as real scientists. Until they actually prove something, they won't ever be taken seriously. Even then, it's a question.

There was that guy American Sasquatch on the Wrest of Wrestling forum. He's a Bigfoot. Peeps gave him tips on how to improve his gimmick. I hope he followed that advice.

The only way Bigfoot will be put to rest is if a live one is captured for testing or a dead one is found. Honestly I sincerely hope one is never found. Unknown animals such as this deserves to remain in the dense habitat it's speculated to congregate in.
Possible language warning.
Here's a man in Texas who is avid Bigfoot researcher. A lot of the good stuff happens during his night search. By far the creepiest game of peek-a-boo with a possible Bigfoot in the vicinity.
Whether or not it's a Bigfoot is complete conjecture. However, it's worth a view because in this video it's pretty damn convincing that SOMETHING is out there.
Keep an eye out for the eyeshines, movement, and you may have to view it in full screen format.

In the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest dwells the strange and beautiful creature known as Bigfoot, perhaps.
Sadly, logging and human settlement today threaten what might possibly be his habitat. Although if it's not, they don't. Bigfoot populations require vast amounts of land to remain elusive in. They typically dwell just behind rocks but are also sometimes playful, bounding into thick fogs and out-of-focus areas.
Remember, it's up to us. Bigfoot is a crucial part of the ecosystem, if he exists. So let's all help keep Bigfoot possibly alive for future generations to enjoy unless he doesn't exist. The end!!

Definitely the legend is way more interesting than actually finding one. If it existed and you found and classified it, it becomes just another ape, or whatever
As a myth there's way more intrigue there; which is probably what gets people into cryptozoology in the first place. It's not the science, there ain't a helluva lot of that. It's the chance to play Indiana Jones etc
