Better overall cartoons, DC or Marvel?

Yeah, this isn't even a contest. As much as I really liked the 90s Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons, DC's animation has been so rich with different approaches to different characters that it's done much more fleshing out of old concepts than most of their other media have done.

It's also A LOT more willing to take itself less seriously than Marvel can do, with Marvel's more modern stuff mostly sticking to the same sort of characters and villains from the movies. Justice League Action, for example, feels like it's taking a different approach with stuff and even getting different voice actors for characters (Dana "Master Shake" Snyder playing Plastic Man, for example, is a stroke of goddamn genius if you can't get Tom Kenny back) that makes it feel fresh. Super Hero Squad was the closest Marvel came to that and I wish it was allowed to continue somehow after Disney brought Marvel instead of cancelling it.

I've said this before and I'll say this again, Brave and the Bold ended with Ambush Bug (voiced by Henry Winkler) trying to stop Bat Mite from cancelling the show. This was allowed to happen and got on kids TV and it was glorious.

Batman: TAS alone destroys Marvel.

Add Superman, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Justice League, B&TB & Young Justice ("Teen titans go" can f*** off) and it's goodnight Vienna.

Marvel had some great Cartoons (X-men, Spider-man & Avengers) but they're aren't anywhere near DC's level.

Even though there are several Marvel cartoons I love (X-Men: TAS and Evolution, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Spectacular Spider-Man, heck, even USM), I'd say that DC is just better in this regard, you cant really argue with the DCAU, Teen Titans, Young Justice, etc.

For me it is Marvel.Loved the first X-men series,SPiderman and his amazing friends,that 80s Hulk show,Spiderman Foxkids,X-men Evo,That 90s Avengers,Silver Surfer and so many more.

For DC really outside of the Fleischer Superman shorts 2 seasons of Superfriends and parts of Teen Titans the rest just doesn't catch me. I do need to watch more Young Justice.


EDIT-Forgot about 2 shows that make DC almost tied with Marvel for me... The Ruby Spears Plastic man cartoon,watched it all the time as a kid and for me it holds up. And Brave and the Bold. Which for me is the best Batman cartoon we have gotten so far.
