Of ALL the animated adaptations that DC and Marvel have (Im talking as far back as Fleischer Superman for DC and Spider-Man 67 and Fantastic Four for Marvel), who has a better overall roster of cartoons? Even though there are several Marvel cartoons I love (X-Men: TAS and Evolution, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, Spectacular Spider-Man, heck, even USM), I'd say that DC is just better in this regard, you cant really argue with the DCAU, Teen Titans, Young Justice, etc.

I'd probably put them as even ... because when they are good they are great... but when they are bad... they are pretty damned unwatchable.
Maybe I'd give DC a slight edge just because of how good the 90's Batman show was (and it has certainly aged better than Marvel's since they didn't have as many stupid rules they had to follow)... and Brave and the Bold being a wonderful rendition of Silver Age madness.
Marvel seem much more likely to tear everything down and start over than DC have in the past.
I mean the Batman TAS universe lasted from 92-2006, where the Spider-man and X-men animated series universe didn't last nearly that long.
edit: Looking it up 92-2001 huh... didn't think it lasted that long... granted without Spider-man Unlimited (which doesn't really feel anything like the other shows but is a direct sequel to TAS) it ends in 98.

Batman: The Animated Series and Superman: TAS are better than anything Marvel. That being said, Spectacular Spider-Man, X-Men: Evolution, and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes are all really good.

To me, this is where DC destroys Marvel. While X-Men: TAS is astounding, Marvel has never made anything (movie or TV, in my opinion...) that has came close to Batman: TAS.

I hate Batman and I really hate BTAS. I think too many super hero cartoons go too dark and unbalanced because of BTAS. That's why I give Marvel the edge against DC.

Hmmmmm....and I have been refreshing my memory with some of the Marvel shows recently, so this should be interesting.
That being said, I know it's not fair to judge the early Marvel toons by their (lack of) animation. But really, the Filmation DC shows around that time were so much better. Yes I am including '67 Spider-Man. Past the theme song, you just have basic character design and a Spidey who sounded too much like an older man. Never saw Spider-Woman, and Fantastic Four '78? They tried but....HERBIE THE DAMN ROBOT. I must revisit the H-B Fantastic Four somehow. The 80s stuff on the other hand was very good and not as pandering as the Superfriends were. A lot of the 90s shows follow the same pattern: they tried, sometimes excellently, but they don't hold up in other ways too. (Here is where I'll mention that the Fantastic Four cartoon at the time, once they passed the Kennedy Cartoons season, was excellent and really could have gone places.) Beyond that...X-Men Evolution was very good, so was Spectacular Spider-Man (and I don't recall MTV Spider-Man being bad either), and EMH could have some day rivalled the Timmverse. Now we are on another downhill slope it seems. So bad beginning, bad ending, mostly solid middle.
DC on the other hand had a strong start with the Fleischer Superman shorts. The Filmation shows were typical '60s SatAM, but represented what the comics were at the time well. Especially Adventures of Batman, which was almost a Season 3.5 of the West show. Superfriends like I said was a bit more preachy and you could really notice the ban on SatAM violence of the '70s. Same with The New Adventures of Batman, which somehow was even MORE silly and had BAT-MITE. Just Bat-Mite. But SF picked up once they got past misunderstood scientists. Still, it just has this pandering tone and the characters are all pretty much, as the old Jabootu reviews would say, morons. But it was a good kiddie representation of the DCU, and the Super Powers seasons were excellent. What can I say about the Timmverse than hasn't been said already? The 2000s shows were mostly good with a hiccup here and there. And that might be the difference between the two companies in the current era. Whereas Marvel hasn't regained what it had with EMH, seems that DC could have a bad show or two around, but a really good one is just around the corner. Case in point: while we still have Teen Titans Go, we now also have Justice League Action.
So to me, DC is a little more consistent.

DC, because of Batman TAS, which was nothing short of a masterpiece.

I'd say DC for regular series. There have been some good Marvel series (90's X-Men, 90's Spidey, Spectacular Spidey, Wolverine and the X-Men, Avengers: EMH), but nothing on the same level as Batman TAS, Superman TAS, JL, JLU, or Young Justice.

DC, hands down. There's been little from the roster of shows that isn't memorable, and the majority of their '90s-to-mid '00s material is critically great.

I'd argue the tone of X-Men: TAS was, in general, darker then the tone of Batman: TAS. Batman just had better writing and production values.

DC even though since the New 52 it's not as good as it was. Still far better than anything Marvel has put out.

DC. That isn't to say Marvel hasn't had good outings, of course it has, but compared to: -B:TAS, Superman, Justice League/Universe, Batman Beyond, uhh I guess Static Shock was alright -Teen Titans -Brave and the Bold -Young Justice DC has just had a better hits to misses ratio than Marvel, in my opinion, though it isn't a landslide victory.

Batman TAS and Superman TAS alone are enough to give DC a lead. If we're talking Justice League and Teen Titans its even more of a knockout. Adding animated movies would probably pull Marvel down even more.
I think the only truly remarkable Marvel cartoon is Spectacular Spider-Man. I enjoy the 90s Spidey and X-Men series but I don't know if I can call them GOOD. You know?
Man. Now I wanna watch Brave and The Bold.

It feels a little unfair to compare them, because DC's TV animation history is so iconic. They had Batman and Superman TAS, Justice League/JLU/Young Justice, Batman Beyond and the first Teen Titans show.
I also loved the 1992 X-Men show, but the rest of the Marvel shows at the time (FOX's Spider-Man, the syndicated Iron Man) were just sorta meh to me, like I'd watch them if nothing else was on. I didn't actively dislike them, but Fox's X-Men (and then later Evolution, that was good too) was the one Marvel show I had to catch new episodes of. The directing of that cartoon was damn effective if you were a kid at the time.
That said, the Guardians TAS and Avengers: EMH are a lot of fun.

Hulk Vs. And the last part of Ultimate Avengers are fine! But the rest??? Did anyone watch that anime Punisher movie?

DC DC has "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Young Justice" .. End of argument. The 90's 'X-Men' serious in the only Marvel one I think comes close to those ones.
