So my last doctors apointment I had some blood work done for my cholesterol check. Since I'm that age my doctor did some more bloodwork to check my prostate(didn't know this could be done with bloodwork). My doctor called me as soon as they got the results of the bloodwork and said my prostate check showed some abnormalities and scheduled an appointment for later this month with a urologist. My doctor said there was a high possibility that it's cancer and the urologist would be able to tell me more when I go see him. Needless to say I'm scared to death because no in my family who has had cancer survived it. In fact prostate cancer is what killed my grandfather. I really could use all the prayers and support I can get right now as I'm really upset and just a ball of emotions right now

I'm so sorry to hear.
Finding out now definitely helps, if that is indeed the case. Try to remain optimistic and research this as well as you can. If you ever need to talk to anyone, feel free to pm a mod.

If it turns out you do, and you're in the US, I cannot recommend enough that you reach out to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. My girl went there for breast cancer treatment, and the quality and level of care she received was amazing. Two years out, and it's still amazing.
Don't be intimidated by the commercials, CTCA is affordable.

I'm so sorry to hear that!! It does sound like it is early enough to be treated, but I certainly understand the fear. My dad had prostate cancer, a few years ago, and he beat it.
I'm always here, if you want to vent. I hope for the best for you

Unless I am vastly mistaken, it is also one of the most treatable forms. Hang tough and think of the Hitman as inspiration.

Stay strong. Catching it early is a blessing.

Sending love and good wishes. I know it's not the same thing but my mom frequently had to go in for extra testing because they thought she had uterine cancer, but she did not. I hope it's nothing serious.

I'm hoping it's a false alarm, but if it isn't, I do hope you being in for routine, rather than warning signs, means you caught it early.

Hoping for the best. If it turns out to be the worst, don't give up and don't panic (As stupid as that sounds). My dad and two uncles were all diagnosed with prostate cancer within the last 6 years and they're all still here and cancer free. I have no doubt everything will turn out well for you. I'm just some random asshole on a message board, but you have my full support and I'm sending the best your way.

If it helps ease your mind, remember Bret Hart was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was treated easily and is supposedly cancer free now. Ian McKellen also has had the disease for more then a decade and it hasn't slowed him down. So don't panic, it's probably treatable and not a death sentence.
