The really artisan type ham where it's really a whole pig leg and it requires some sort of special stand to serve? I'm Quite curious but am not inclined to spend up to four hundred bucks on a piece of pork.

I used to work in a deli. If it's the ham I think it is, it's massively salty. I used to sample everything that was expensive for the primary purpose of I was never gonna buy it. My favorite was a $22 a pound brown sugar ham. It was perfectly sweet and salty. But yeah I think I've cut that ham once or twice. The salt is what I remember.

I've always wanted to try it but just never got up the bravery to spend the money for it. The appeal of it is that the Mangalica Pig is one of the last (if not the last) species of pigs on the planet that still has a thick, woolly lamb-like coat, a trait that otherwise has been mostly bred out of the animal over the centuries.

It sounds like some sort of terrible alias, like Dr. Mantis Toboggan.
