So is anyone else watching this? I was shocked by how good it is. They've totally nailed the feel of the books, and Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf is a treat. Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket surprised me at first, but his deadpan delivery definitely works.

Way, way better than the movie.

It's definitely got the feel of the series down, though I feel like Lemony as a character/narrator worked better in prose, not least because it feels weird seeing his face, when even the author's portraits in the books were blurry pictures, distant silhouettes, and the like. It added to that air of mystery around the character and the past with Beatrice.
That said, it's a small concern when everything else is done so well. I've got a lot of nostalgia for ASOUE (partly down to basically growing up on the official forums back in the early 2000s) and it's such a relief to see it get a proper treatment after the film could have killed it off for good.

I really liked it. I'm excited for season 2 to arrive so I can look away again.

I like it, catchy theme.
I was impressed with how thoroughly unlikable Neil manages to me in the role, which is obviously the intent. I was worried he'd be too likable and charismatic to dislike, but oh no, there are definitely moments where he manages to make me deeply uncomfortable with his menacing over the Baudelaires.
