I'd like a guy who's passionate about something other than working out or video games. I mean if his job was pro Crossfitter or pro video gamer, that's one thing (actually, I'm not sure I'd like a Crossfit bro of any kind). I like guys who mentor kids, support cat shelters, raise money for diseases, something like that.
Another thing I like is when a guy dresses well, and I don't mean in name brand clothing. I know a lot of guys my age (33) that are dripping in money and dress like hobos. Hang up your button-down shirts, use a little fabric softener, and learn some basics in color coordination. We notice that stuff.

A good conversationalist with a sense of humor, creative, and witty. I'm not very ambitious, so I want someone who kind of matches my view on that, works to live not lives to work but is still capable of holding down some line of honest work. Someone who values experiences over possessions, an issue that came up surprisingly often in past relationships.
Honestly, I feel like a snob for this, but I'm adamant on not dating anyone with either kids or a prison record. At least in my neck of the woods, that cuts out around 95% of the dating pool.

My girlfriend is a goth who loves heavy metal, I wear shirts and skinny jeans and like classic rock and hip hop. Yet we get along like a house on fire and have tons of chemistry.

I despise girls who suddenly adopt all of your interests and pretend like it's the coolest thing in the world just because you're into it. Do your own thing. Have your own life.
I also have no use for people who aren't forward motivated. I don't care if you flip burgers for a living. Flip the shit out of those burgers. Get after burger flipping hard.

Fun, intelligent, kind. Someone with a big enough heart to be compassionate and loving when I hurt, but with a strong enough core to not tolerate my bull when I'm out of line. Common interests and passions so what we do together brings us closer, be it watching a movie to visiting historical sites and events.
I don't want a clone, but a better half. Who enhances what is good and helps deal with the bad.
To quote a movie line, I just want something beautiful.

I should go ahead and add another one. I like very much if they are passionate about something. An ex of mine adores Wizard of Oz and can go on and on about it, if you get them on the topic, and I always found that really nice to see in a person.
