I know we have a thread on Worst Disney Animated Movies. But this thread, I want to talk about Disney Movies that don't seem to get a lot of love that they should. Ones that we feel are underrated in the eyes of the world. I feel The Rescuers Down Under fits this billing to a T. It was one of the first Disney Movies I had seen in theaters. Besides the AMAZING production value, the story, while similar to the original, still felt somewhat fresh, and enjoyable. Plus McLeach was an AWESOME villain. A truly evil character in every way.

definitely Rescuers Down Under
seems like The Sword in the Stone is one of the lesser discussed Disney movies
and since it got some discussion in the other thread, i'll go ahead and name the 2011 Winnie the Pooh

The Rescuers Down Under is generally considered to be the actual start of the Disney Renaissance, so it does get its props.
I'm an unapologetic mark for The Black Cauldron, I've gotta say. Was really surprised when Disney got the movie rights to The Chronicles of Prydain again recently, so maybe it will get its due eventually.

My two favorites are Robin Hood and Oliver & Company, and you don't see much love for those.

Only archery tournament I know that a football game breaks out in. And they use "Fight On" from USC and "On, Wisconsin", two of my favorite college fight songs.

Robin Hood's also got a legacy as being, uhh, a movie with a perhaps unexpected cultural impact.

Emperor's New Groove.
Bolt was fun.

If so than I'll go with that. It was a dark movie for a kids movie but it was a classic IMO

I cannot believe no one has said Tarzan yet. Honestly, a gorgeous movie, great story, great characters, the songs are fantastic, a really forgotten gem from the late 90s for Disney. And, truth be told, my favorite Disney movie for years until I saw Tangled a few weeks ago.

Sword in the Stone fits this. Always wondered what more Disney stories of Arthurian lore would be like.
While it's not a great movie, one of my favorites that isn't talked about is Three Caballeros. Then again I'm a Donald Duck fan.
Yes, Tarzan is great too. Pretty fun TV series as well.
Interestingly enough, one that doesn't seem to get mentioned much anymore is Hercules. Yes, it wasn't the greatest, but I had fun with it. *Shrug*

Doesn't everybody actually like Robin Hood. I would say Fox and the Hound is more underrated

And, truth be told, my favorite Disney movie for years until I saw Tangled a few weeks ago. The scene where Tarzan meets Jane by rescuing her from the angry baboon troop is one of the best things Disney has ever done.
