Robin Hood Most people seem to like it, but Disney don't seem to really care about it. Are there any actual Robin Hood rides at the theme parks, Robin Hood merchandise, character appearances at the parks etc? I thought it was great. Especially the two villains, King John and Sir Hiss. I have heard the major criticism from about Robin Hood, which I liked as a kid, was that it was lazily made and more than other movies reuses animation from other Disney movies before it. www.dorkly.com/post/74361/watching-disney-re-use-animation-over-decades-is-mesmerizing

The Rescuers Down Under is generally considered to be the actual start of the Disney Renaissance, so it does get its props. I'm an unapologetic mark for The Black Cauldron, I've gotta say. Was really surprised when Disney got the movie rights to The Chronicles of Prydain again recently, so maybe it will get its due eventually. It's weird. I read the Chronicles of Prydain religiously prior to seeing The Black Cauldron, so I was taken aback at how condensed the five stories were. I can appreciate it as its own entity, though. I hadn't heard about Disney securing the rights to the Chronicles again... Any word on intent? Films? Miniseries?

Fox and the Hound. I had the storybook and record, and the picture record when I was a kid but didn't see the movie till it finally came out on VHS.

The only exception to that is the face close up of Baloo and Little John. That mostly was just changing color and adding clothing.

They probably want to do The Black Cauldron as a live action film but to do it right they would have to blur the lines between pg13 and R which the animated version did and could possibly be a huge risk
