Pogs count as toys right? Anyone remember Monsters in my Pocket? I loved those! That was going to my nomination, loved them. The original form of them are mostly fondly remembered but given the forum we're on here's my collection of MIMP wrestlers.

For the 40th Anniversary, there was a lot of Godzilla toys in the 90s from Trendmasters. There was the smaller 6 inch figures and the larger 10 inch ones which were the cooler ones. Damn it, the 1997 Godzilla movie sucked, but damn if it didn't give us cool toys. So did McFarlane Spawn. I got a manga Spawn and Godzilla for those lines and damn if they didnt give my x-men good fights.

Kenner's Batman The Animated Series line. Awesome in the fact that you got so many different villains unlike the movie lines.

At first I thought there was no idea 90s toys could compete with 80s classics, but reading this thread proved me dead wrong.
The Aliens toys were incredibly underrated. Each came with a mini comic book. The Star Wars, and to a lesser extent Star Trek, Micro Machines are classics. I'd still buy them today just to have them.
Obviously WWF Jakks toys blew up along with the Attitude era. And the 90s also gave us Puppet Master figures!

The GI Joes of the mid 90s worked well as wrestlers with the WWF Hasbros.

These were my jam. I've started recollecting them as an adult to keep them in the packages.

Yeah, the Marvel figures period would take a huge step forward in the next decade, but as a huge X-fan in the 90's, I was happy for any figures I got. I remember hunting down the Phoenix figure when it was released. Her hair lit up when you pressed a button on her back. I remember being at a comic store back in the 90's with my Dad. We saw Stryfe and G.W. Bridges. I said I don't know anything about Stryfe so I'll get G. W. Bridges. I regretted my decision. I've never seen Stryfe in person since. I have Stryfe, Deadpool, Punisher, and Dr. Doom in my closet right now. 😊

Speaking of which, let's give a shout out to Todd McFarland and his deciding to launch a toy line (at first just to advertise his SPAWN comic, but then going in many awesome directions), as he really kind of changed the game when it came to figures, upping the ante when it came to the detail of figures. I mean, come on now....these figures kick ass. We wouldn't have gotten a lot of the awesome figures that we've gotten since without McFarland toys paving the way.

Kenner released a new line of Star Wars toys in 1995. And somehow so many of characters were jacked beyond belief. Tatooine Luke was massive. Their sports figures were good too Yeah, the McFarlane sports figures are pretty damn good.

The only bad thing was how fragile some of them were. Wolverine 2 anyone? I had like 3 of him growing up. His damn arms kept breaking. I remember getting Iceman and he completely fell apart. Almost like he was never glued together or something. I was bummed out so I went and got another one. Two days later he fell apart the exact same way. I stopped collecting them after that. I had a lot of those figures. They were a lot of fun for the most part.
