A gang of armed robbers including a man in a pig mask have opened fire at one of Las Vegas’ most famous hotels, sparking panic among tourists.

Hundreds fled the Bellagio hotel and casino after the gang targeted its Rolex watch shop in the early hours of Saturday morning, hiding under tables or seeking safety in stairwells.

Having been to Vegas on a Friday night, I can't imagine how difficult it would be for the cops to try to respond, and panic to be contained.

And that's probably what the robbers wanted. It would be easy for them to get lost in the crowd. Although this is a casino we're talking about and there are security cameras everywhere.

And that's probably the best they can do in that situation, casino security can track them and give the cops as much info as possible.

There's pretty much no chance they didn't get caught on camera. Vegas Hotel/Casinos are built to have pretty much no blind spots to even hide.

I'm surprised this kind of stuff happens outside of movies. As other people mentioned, Vegas has security cameras every-damn-where. They'll be caught in a heartbeat.

There also was a heist in Venice , Italy recently where people first thought it was a terror attck since they used smoke bombs.....
