The characters :

-Egon Olsen , the gangs leader...he has ideas for new capers every time he gets out from jail , very obsessed

-Benny , whimsical guy

-Kjell , often yelled at by Egon and also his wife Valborg

-Birger aka Basse , follows in his father Kjells foot steps

-Hermansen , police chief (pompous and tries to get Egon behind bars at every cost , sometimes loses his mind)

-Holm (he thinks Hermansen is a fool and doesn't really respect him even though he's his boss)

They made 14 films :

1. Olsen Gang - Operation Egon 1969 (the gang is after a priceless german gold statue)

2. OG meets Dynamite Harry 1970 (the gang fights a Blofeld-esque mobster , Egon tries going straight by working in a brewery with Benny and Kjell and also falls in love with his shrink , Bodil)

3. OG takes gold 1972 (the gang is after nazi gold)

4. OG and Dynamite Harry runs bananas 1973 (Harry tries to go sober , easier said than done

5. OG meets the king and the jack" 1974 (one of my favorites , the king is the jacks uncle and the jack also has a sister named Jenny)

6. OGs last exploits 1975

7. OGs music caper 1976

8. OGs train caper 1977 (Biffen , a large hitman from Denmark makes his first appearance)

9. OG and Computer Harry 1978 (the loveable drinking Harry turns into a pompous mean computer geek , nice twist)

10. OG to new heights 1979

11. OG will never give up 1981 (the gang goes to London)

12. OGs last caper 1982

13. OG -still alive and kicking 1984

14. OGs final caper 1998

These films are actually remakes of the Danish Olsen gang movies. Every time Denmark made one, Norway remade it, the scenes very familiar and sometimes we simply reused the Danish scenes.
