Bones (2005-2017)

So, tonight was the series finale of Bones, and I figured that there had to be some people out there watching it. Now, me personally? I had kinda followed it for the first few seasons, but had stopped in part because it either came on at the same time as other shows I was watching at the time, or it was getting the ol' timeslot runaround. However, as it has been airing on Bravo, I've managed to mostly catch up (just started the season where Sweets died), and wanted to get people's thoughts.

For me personally? I do think having the rotating staff of interns was a better touch from just having Zack. I'm kinda warming up to Aubrey, but I miss the heck outta Sweets. And the series finale, while it was good... I kinda expected them to go a different way at the very end. But ah well.

My ex looooved the show, so I saw the first 3 or so seasons. Was pretty good, but I got my fill.

I catch it during dinner on TNT. Decent show but nothing I would watch weekly. Had no clue it had been on so long.

Sweets was the best character.

The show was a neat mix of goofball fun and mystery.

Main drawback? Every single Pelant (spelling is wrong, don't give a shit) episode was straight up garbage.

It's the nickname Booth bestows upon her, yes.

I liked the finale, it had a sense of finality, yes, but also that the story continues.

I'm on my phone and some in the thread aren't caught so I don't want accidently mess up the /SPOILER tag so I'll just say for now I am surprised one storyline was left dangling. I'll edit this tomorrow to add it.

I never watched this show but looking at those years, DAMN that was a long run. Especially for a Fox show.

I know it would have been cheesy and cliche, but I thought it would end with Hodgins getting his legs back. Sucks that they took it away from him so close to the end.

Tried to watch, hated Bones as a character. Impressed as hell it made it 12 years.

I dug this show when it premiered and I was working at a Fox affiliate. I watched a later episode recently at work, and the B story was about whether Booth and Bones' daughter cheated on a test. Two things that stood out to me was that, apparently, they jumped like 15 years ahead in the show or something, and that you never saw their daughter in the entire episode. It was...all so very strange.

I liked it but stopped watching around the time one of them became a serial killer. Unless I'm thinking of some other show?
