I loved the TV movie and i'm sure my parents got sick of it since I rented it so often. The book is one of my favorite books period, and probably second favorite by Stephen King behind The Dark Tower series. Can't wait to see this.

I was Pennywise for Halloween once.
...That's all I have to add.

I have a.....thing, about clowns, caused by seeing the old tv miniseries when I was WAY too young, so I have a lot of visceral feelings associated with this story. Not sure if I'm gonna see this or not, the trailer had me very freaked.

Washed out colours and a noise between each scene.
Another groundbreaking innovative trailer.

This looks awesome. Can't wait. Oddly enough I couldn't get into the book at all but I like the whole concept behind it so hopefully it translates into a good movie. I haven't read the book in ages. I just started reading it again and it's completely sucked me into it. Maybe try and pick it up again? I probably should really since I've heard nothing but positives about it. I think part of the reason I failed to get into it last time was the length which I found intimidating. With King's longer books I've often found they're padded with so much filler and pointless scenes that I sorta felt I can't be bothered with it. He's a good storyteller but pads his books so much at times with filler I often can't be arsed to read them.

Looks fine. Without Curry, seems to be really lacking something; but hard to tell without some real good Pennywise footage.

Yeah, regardless of the camp factor of the miniseries, Curry really gave Pennywise a personality that's gonna be hard to stand next to and not look lacking, but maybe they'll figure it out.

This was a issue I had when watching the mini series. I do love Curry as this character, but I never found him scary. Even when I was younger, I found his performance hilarious. This Pennywise though looks like something we should be afraid of. Which I think is a good thing. Curry as Pennywise is one of those sorts of performances that can't be replicated and it looks like they are trying to do their own thing which is very smart. I also like that this movie seems to just focus on the first half of the book. Not something that typically happens with movies based on King novels. Hopefully this does well and they make a sequel.

Probably my second favorite book, behind The Shining, and while I loved the miniseries I definitely had issues with it. While it's only a trailer I'm digging what I see so far. Keeping iconic scenes while using new ideas to emphasize the horror their experiencing. For example that slide scene, while the same idea as the photo book scene, adds a new twist on it that looks terrifying. Hope they add the origin scene of It in though, one of my favorite parts in the book. Kinda adds to that Lovecraft feel I thought.

Came across more as a comedy to me at places and a rather 'eh' horror movie in others.

To be fair, that pretty accurately hits the tone of the mini-series, which strangely, cast a bunch of middle-aged sitcom stars in a horror movie, but...eh, it's fondly remembered, even if it's not for the "top quality".

And, now that I think of it, I wonder if the Ritual of Chüd will come into play at all.

I haven't read the book, so I have no attachment to whether or not the story is faithful. I don't know if the Tim Curry one is or not, but I always liked it because of his performance.
When I first heard of this re-make I thought "why??", but this trailer has done a very good job of getting my attention. It looks creepy and atmospheric.

Why did I watch that?
That damn slide machine scene, I think I need a weapon and won't sleep tonight.

Dark Tower I couldn't get past Wizard and Glass. The riddle contest with Blaine was one of my favourite, most tense and most memorable scenes in any book but as soon as Roland started with his boring backstory I lost interest. Especially when I realised the backstory was going to be the entire book and it was like 600 pages. I just couldn't bring myself to push through 600 pages of a story I was finding boring and wasn't enjoying. The three prior to that were excellent. Especially The Waste Lands, that was a fantastic read.
