Snagged mine this morning in the hopes of giving my girlfriend and I an excuse to visit Los Angeles for the first time. Anybody else give it a look?

Kept checking and refreshing for the last 15 minutes on ticketmaster and it says tickets are unavailable.

They're all gone. Sold out in less than two minutes.

That's insane. Honestly never thought they would sell that quick, let alone sell out. Unless the Long Beach Convention Center is far smaller than I thought it was.

Well, wikipedia has 4 different rooms there with capacities from 700 to OVER 9000~! people. I would guess this show goes the the Grand Banquet Hall and that has about 2200 seats.

If they sold out that quickly, I think they'll considering moving to a bigger room and release more tickets.
But selling out that fast is unbelievable, just goes to show the growth and exposure New Japan has had over the years.

It's worth trying again, guys; took me a few times hitting refresh before a couple tickets for Sunday opened up for me, so sometimes people are in line trying to reserve tickets and just drop out and free the seats up or something. Also, when I bought mine none of the $30 were posted as available, not even an option to pick on the drop down menu, so they likely haven't released those just yet.
Meltzer says they're aiming for 3,000 people per show, and looking for it to be pretty much pay per view quality. If it's 3,000 I'm a little surprised, as I was under the impression they'd be in the smallest of the three ballrooms available, but maybe they can swing it.
Either way, yes, a lot of tickets are selling, but there will likely be more available.

Although it showed as a $60 dollar ticket on the Ticketmaster website. By the time I bought the ticket after fees and taxes it came out to about $47.50.

Guessing it's because the $30 seats are only for certain rows, so maybe the price didn't show up until everything processed? Kind of weird, but hey, if I'm gonna travel and pay enough to get all the way from Jersey to LA, I suppose an extra $150 really isn't the end of the world.

Yeah, if you're travelling all the way from Jersey, you might as well go all out while you're in LA. Speaking of which, Long Beach is one of my favorite parts of Los Angeles. I went to college there and I hang out there all the time. You guys are going to love it.

It also goes to show how hungry North America is for a high quality, in ring focused product, that isn't Vince's.

I was thinking of flying out but then I blinked and all the tickets were gone. Kevin Kelly put out on twitter that 6,000 tickets in total were sold...which is actually totally insane

Interesting statement just put out by the president of Bushi Road on twitter:
"New Japan in LA sold out in two hours. Our pickaxe has struck a vein of gold. This will be a pivotal year in wrestling history."
Not sure how seriously we should take this, could mean that they might put in a little bit more money into the US product. Could be interesting

Kevin Kelly put out on twitter that 6,000 tickets in total were sold...which is actually totally insane And considering Meltzer said they were going to try and design the venue to hold 3,000 people per show, that just about sums things up. I'd absolutely love for them to announce "due to high demand we're moving to a bigger room for these shows and opening up more ticket sales", but it does them a world of good to be able to announce a two hour sell out for both nights.

If there's enough interest for it they may consider moving to a larger room.
Considering its sold out as well as Meet and Greets and Merchandise, NJPW stands to make quite a bit of money off this

If there's enough interest for it they may consider moving to a larger room. Considering its sold out as well as Meet and Greets and Merchandise, NJPW stands to make quite a bit of money off this That part's true, though it's the constant wire these companies walk: keep the numbers lower and you can demand higher prices and create the perception of greater demand. Demand gets TOO high, and yeah, why not just move to some place larger and make more overall revenue and potential profit? Besides, would my $60 seats still be worth that in a bigger room? I'd be willing to find out, but I can see how there'd be some issues. I keep trying to look up the floor plan they put on the drop down menu on the Ticketmaster site and it's not appearing anywhere, anybody have that? Also been looking at the floor plans on the convention center's website and it's a bit tough to figure out what direction they'd go in if they wanted a bigger room; I know there are more ballrooms, but I certainly don't see them going all the way to the arena that's attached to the venue. EDIT: NJPW trying to make more seats available/sell more tickets. Says it here, straight from the horse's mouth.

From what I'm seeing on twitter they actually had a little media campaign ready, with ads in local papers and such. This seems to be totally unexpected.
Seems like all the people buying the Bullet Club shirts actually want to see the real deal
