so following that logic, i could take something like blade runner, cut it to pieces and add my own dialogue. plus make t-shirts and other types of merchandise based on it and it's not making money off of someone else's work? The merchandise is a little sketchy, but otherwise, yeah, that's fair use. The TFS finished product is a non-profit parody. It is massively different than the original product. If you make Blade Runner Abridged, let us know, could be fun.

Yes. Heck, a simpler example: there are several logos out there that are not only traemarked and copyrighted but they have the brand's name on it, which makes it part of the logo. People just take it, change the wording, put it on a t-shirt and sell it. That's old as everything.

Plus i can guarantee you that without team four star, there would be no dragon ball super No, no, no. By that logic you may as well say without TFS there would be no Battle of Gods movie, no Ressurection F movie and no consistent slew of Dragon Ball Z games. The international success of these things is why we have Dragon Ball Super. This thought process is one of many reasons why I understand why Toei sees TFS as a detriment. They're really good, passionate people and I like them, but they have built an entire business off of specifically attaching themselves to the DBZ property. Their company logo is Shenron. I yearn to see them branch into producing their own original content, because they have the talent and the resources to do it.
