Are you looking for a VCR recorder/DVD player, or a VCR recorder/DVD recorder, something that can play a tapes and record it onto a DVD? Those aren't cheap... but if you already have a VCR there are other options.

Those aren't cheap... but if you already have a VCR there are other options. i am looking for a vcr/DVD recorder. I have Comcast Xfinity DVR and that thing PROHIBITS you from using the recording function on your DVDR. But, I know that I can get around it. Hooking up a DVDR is far more complicated than hooking up a VCR. I know from personal experience. A VCR/DVD Recorder hooks up the same exact way that a VCR does. I know this from personal experience too. I just want to have at least some of the things recorded on discs and not just on a hard drive.
