Picked up the blu ray a day or so ago. Re-watching. Still awesome.
Ah good Star Wars. When you're up good, you're very good.

Watched it the other night, think I liked it even better the second time.
I desperately want a Marvel comic/another film/video game/SOMETHING featuring Chirrut and Malbus.

Some like it more than Force Awakens. I don't, but that you can even have that conversation I think is a good thing, means they took it a pretty different route.

Partly because I strongly dislike TFA and have no idea what people see in it, so it's a low bar. But also because Rogue One is a genuinely different take on the Star Wars universe in terms of the kind of story it's telling, and offers a new perspective on what the events of the main saga entailed.

I loved it. Great film.
That scene with Darth Vader cutting down the trapped rebels was spine chilling.

eh I liked it... but I thought it had a lot of problems. Maybe I'll feel different on a rewatch.
That said it is of course miles better than the prequel trilogy.

Overall I really enjoyed it
My biggest complains are that the fan service got a little silly with the cameo of those guys from the Cantina, that Saw Guerrera seemed really underdeveloped, and that the CGI Tarkin really took me out of the movie whenever he was on screen.
It's biggest strength was that it was its own thing, compared to TFA which tried too much to be A New Hope. The ending was also bold, in a world where executives seem to be mainly concerned with the ability to make sequels.

I've got the Blu-Ray coming soon, so I get to enjoy it all over again. I'll probably spot a few flaws, but I loved it the first time so why not the second time round?

I liked it more than The Force Awakens. But I didn't really like either of those movies. I wonder if there is going to be a true Directors Cut of Rogue One because the movie felt somehow even more choppier than Suicide Squad and the unused shots look badass.

I enjoy both Rogue One and TFA for different reasons, but roughly equally. I can at least say the last two SW films made me care about what happened to the characters far more than Episodes 1-3 did.

This was the moment where I realized that I don't think I liked Episode 7.....or at least I love Rogue One a whole lot more.. I've only seen TFA twice (once in theatre, once on Blu-Ray), kinda don't want to watch it anymore. I've seen Rogue One 4 times (twice in theatre, twice at home), want to watch it several more times. I desperately want a Marvel comic/another film/video game/SOMETHING featuring Chirrut and Malbus. Greg Rucka's writing a novel - GUARDIANS OF THE WHILLS - due out.... .....heh, due out next week (May 2)

Middle of the road for me, but I do like it when Matt Gourley says "BOR GULLET WILL KNOW THE TRUTH!!" on Pistol Shrimps Radio.
