Bit of a difference between working in a store and being part of a very physical form of entertainment where you can easily hurt someone. Not really. Being sloppy and f***ing up is still being sloppy and f***ing up. And he was sloppy and f***ed up. Then, he got rewarded for it. I've figured out why you're against Jinder. I'm onto you. You can't handle 3MB!

THIS DUDE NEVER CHANGES HIS NAME OR AVATAR! DO IT! Beginning to regret that post now. I really don't want it to get 100 likes. If I'm getting into that club, it's not going to be for a "like this 100 times for......." post. And even if I did change the name, the Avatar will never change. Ted Striker will forever be there! For what it's worth, I didn't like it. I gave ya Wilford is disappointed.

I'm upset because this is just so bad narrative-wise. It's like...this working means WWE gets to try even less at storytelling and they already barely try. I'm worried the mindset now is that the only way to get heel heat is to give someone shitty the title and the fans will boo that (or cheer it as a meme?), which is just so wrong. For example, Owens can get major boos when he's booked right. There was no story change with Jinder going from long time jobber to world champion. They flipped a switch one night and now we're here. It's especially damning coming off an amazing heel turn with Ciampa last night. Yep. I mean, it was already really bad, but now? How can any non-title match possibly have any meaning whatsoever? They just took a guy who was a complete jobber one week, made him the #1 contender for the top title the next, and then actually made him champion just a few weeks after that. Like, it would be one thing if they had spent six months rebuilding Jinder in order to make him a contender, but just flipping a switch that turns him from Jobber to Champion makes the whole thing meaningless. Why should I get invested in any match - we know that it doesn't matter. And if your wrestling matches don't matter, and you are a wrestling program, it's going to be a little difficult to get invested in the show.

Honestly people can hate on Jinder all they want but after listening to his Talk is Jericho podcast I'm super happy for him, because the dude sounded like he was at a terribly low point after he was fired the first time, this just shows that you don't give up. DDP said he'd never be world champion, Dusty Rhodes asked then what the hell was he doing it for? In wrestling, everyone fights to be the champion no matter what. Even if it never happens or seems unlikely, it's the dream. And for a guy who no one believed in, I'd say it's pretty sweet

I know this is a fake sport that's decided on the wims of a psychotic and possibly senile billionaire but damn it, it's still the most prized possession if you grew up watching wwe.

I'd be like putting the title on Barry Horowitz in 1995. Yeah, he had a hot couple of months, but still.....no one's that f***ing stupid.

Mahal allegedly won it because they want to make money in India.

I kinda want TNA to beat the WWE in India so Vince slaps the f*** out of every person who suggested Mahal But that means that he'll bring in Mahabali Shera...

You guys do realize this isn't the end of the story, right? Let's see where this is going before we take a reactionary crap all over it.

And I still think it worked for Mahal, dude shocked the world tonight and can't say he didn't get a hell of a reaction

How people can be so upset that an unknown is accomplishing his dream, something everyone can get behind, is maddening. Be happy for the guy because the reality is that its gonna be a shortlived reign for a month or so and then everyone will forget he even existed.

They tried to push Jinder after his original debut on Smackdown years ago. This actually is a cool story. In a James Ellsworth way.
As someone training to wrestle it encourages me. Im happy for the dude.

This has got to be the worst night in Bret Hart's life. Actually, it probably is. That's the same prestigious championship he held. The same one that eluded Razor Ramon, Roddy Piper, Owen Hart, Ted Diabetes, Mr. Perfect, and countless others over the years. If Jinder can win it after jobbing up until literally like last month, where's the standard? It clearly doesn't matter. Give the f***ing thing to Headbanger Mosh. Ted Diabetes?!!?!!

I don't want to compare Mahal with Horowitz, but you can make the argument that most wwe fans know Jinder as the guy who got his ass kicked by Gronk a non wrestler.

Every single person on that roster has a chance now. Hell I think anyone of us has a chance now. I'll only defend the belt in scaffold matches. screw it, I'm signing up to the Projo.
