Imagine talking to someone on May 22nd, 2012.
Tell them, in five year, Jinder Mahal was going to have more world title reigns than Ryback.
Since Ryback was brought up in this thread, I can't stop shaking what he must be thinking.

I swear if they do that Rusev is coming back to rain all over that shit. They've been back and forth on Rusev turning face for months this would be an easy way to accomplish that. Not really. It's pretty much the exact same thing people rained hate upon Reigns for doing when Rusev and Lana were celebrating their marriage that one time. Logic goes out the window for the people you like or want to succeed

Since Ryback was brought up in this thread, I can't stop shaking what he must be thinking. The Big Guy is probably either going to be really happy for Mahal(maybe they were friends) or he's going to be really pissed and rant on WWE about all his broken promises As I said earlier they missed an opportunity to give Ryback a one month reign back when he was on fire and he may have a grip but to Jinders credit he ran with this chance.

With one of the most talented rosters of the past +10 years the WWE and Universal titles are on men that can't pass a piss test... Except when he did.

Dolph Ziggler is probably hating life now.
Like a poster above said, this feels like Curt Hawkins winning a major title.
I think this is the most unexpected championship win of all time.
I have to explain myself. While I appreciate the other wrestling companies, I grew up a wwe fan. Since I've been 7 years old, the wwf-wwe belt has been the holy grail of pro wrestling. Even when in 2002 with the big gold belt becoming a main championship, I always considered winning the WWE belt the superior achievement.
Maybe that is why I'm complaining so much about Jinder winning it. Yeah maybe Vince technically won it against Triple H and an argument could be made that McMahon winning it was a bigger disgrace.
Jinder Mahal was a guy that not even two months ago was jobbing out to Mojo Rawley and probably right now would be Rusev's flunkie if he never got injured.
Mick Foley compared winning the wwe belt to winning the academy award for best actor, to me this would be like Clint Howard winning the award out of nowhere.

Double post sorry
Maybe I'm mistaken but didn't Mahal got fired the same time that Drew and Hornswoggle did? I think I remember that thread and barely anyone mentioned Jinder. Most of the attention was on McIntyre and Hornswoggle.

I do think the Steroid Comments and Allegations need to stop.
Like hate the dude all you want if you think he's a shit wrestler or shit talker but until the guy is actually officially busted for a Performance Enhancing Drug, it comes off extremely petty especially when he's been tested multiple times among other things.
Just seems really cheap to me right now to say "He only won because he's on Steroids" or "How could he win he can't even pass a piss test!?", he's passed tests, and he's world champion. Jinder Mahal is not worth WWE getting a shit ton of blowback from ESPN and news sites for having their top champion be pegged for roids. And if they did do that, they're even bigger idiots than I thought for not being more careful.
So until proven otherwise, can people stop going that route please? Suspicious and Possible? Sure, anything's possible. But is it currently a proven Fact like it keeps being presented by posters here? No.

They tried to push Jinder after his original debut on Smackdown years ago. This actually is a cool story. In a James Ellsworth way. As someone training to wrestle it encourages me. Im happy for the dude. Me and my friend met Jinder at a bar last October. My friend was about to begin training and asked Jinder for advice. Jinder advised my friend to have a career backup plan. My friend told him he's been a shop steward for 5 years now. Jinder repeated his advice. He was bummed out he received shitty advice twice. Now it's surreal to think we got advice from a future WWE Champion. So this might of been good advice the entire time?

Like I've said before there are so many PEDS that are damn near untraceable that The Olympics has the most strict and expensive drug testing in the world strip medal athletes 8 years later. Plus Meltzer who is jacked speculated he's on something which is an out of character thing for Meltzer to do. Also Ryback who probably who is friends with him, admitted to taking roids in the past, took wellness tests, and knows more about bodybuilding than anyone else here speculated he's on something. I'm not holding it against him but I believe many of the wrestlers are on something especially on how there's more emphasis on work rate and high flying in todays WWE. Like there's probably a surprising high amount of guys on them for recovery purpose like I'm sure Rollins is on something considering he went from possibly missing 6 months and Wrestlemania to full time worker or Cenas miracle recoveries

No. Yeah I get some of what you are saying and for the moment they're allegations, but let's also keep in mind that Brock Lesnar failed a USADA test after his UFC 200 fight and he had been wwe champion. The wwe wellness test is not infalible.

Like there's probably a surprising high amount of guys on them for recovery purpose like I'm sure Rollins is on something considering he went from possibly missing 6 months and Wrestlemania to full time worker or Cenas miracle recoveries Fair enough, but I do still think its low for Jinder to be stripped of everything "Because Steroids" then as well, if they're a more common thing than we think in WWE in this day and age, it's just never said or mentioned.
I think Jinder's worked for this. He's been in the WWE for quite awhile, got fired, got in a bad spot, and recovered and got where he was. I will say even if he is on some type of steroid, steroids don't get you anywhere unless you work to get the muscle mass. And I truly do believe, Steroids or Not, Jinder has been working his ass off these past few months and they took notice. To the point Vince McMahon has been personally involved with his storylines and has been writing promos for him and notes, which according to Jericho, means Vince sees something in you to invest that much time in your character.
Also I feel it's a bit hypocritical to call Jinder on possible roids when Randy, the dude he beat, has had MULTIPLE Wellness Violations, and despite that has had 13 title reigns... so... yeah...
I just think there's other roads people can travel than that one. I feel its way more believable that WWE wants to reach out to India with this win than "He got pushed because Steroids" like some have said.

It has all of us talking in a thread on page 15 already. Do I think it's deserved...ehhhhhhh Do I think other people should have the title...yeahhhhh Does it have me intrigued...yup. Prior to the match I couldn't see him winning, but having a good portion of the crowd actually behind him really made me appreciate that American audiences are ready for an North American/Canadian champion that just so happens to have roots elsewhere in the world. I said in the PPV thread he should just drop the foreign heel schtick and be a dominant 'heel' champ that cheats to win. An Indian-Canadian JBL. Except without all that bullying nonsense.

I'm fine with saying steroids invalidate things cause it means Lesnar is gone and forgotten.
