Free Fire (2017)

Watched this one earlier today. Stellar performances all around and had the kind of action that does A LOT more with a lot less. Instead of overly CGI'd dudes shooting lazers or cars flying every which way, this was an immaculately done warehouse shoot-em-up. The dialogue was hilarious as well. I'd definitely recommend it if it's playing in your area. It's already in my top action films for the year along with JW2 and Logan, but this one has a wicked sense of humor about it. Sharlto's performance alone is worth the price of the ticket, but it's really strong ensemble piece (not to mention Brie Larson & Cillian Murphy!)

Anyway - I recommend checking it out.

Surprised me, went in knowing nothing except B.Larson starring (hummana hummana), was a fun ride, lots of quirkiness, not taking itself seriously the right way, nice 70's (?) atmosphere/look, fun shootouts

Wasn't sure when it would get a release. But yeah, go find this movie.

My dad and I saw this earlier. Because I am a sucker for indie films, not to mention films distributed by A24, I wanted to check it out. It also seemed appealing when I read about it in the newspaper a week ago. We had fun with it. I liked all the performances from the cast.

Saw this a week ago, and I enjoyed it more than I predicted I would. It's not a super deep or profound movie, just a fun and unique shootout film. Sharlto Copley is hilarious, but the cast as a whole is strong.
