Tomorrow night I head back to Preston Castle! The 'haunted' former boys reform school.
I've been there a handful of times over the last many years, with the last one providing possibly the scariest moment of ever in my amateur ghost hunting experience. Throughout the night there was a marching sound coming from above a second story hallway. There wasn't any way a person was above us (this specific hallway just had the building's roof over it, and from another room we could visually see no one up there) The docents were stumped by it. The marching continued throughout the night, but at the end when it was about time to head out for the night the stepping began getting louder, and it starting coming from the stairway next to the hallway. Then there was footsteps running, and a door slammed. The docents were 100% sure that someone had actually broken into the castle at this point, but there wasn't anyone else in there after they went on their rounds through the building. Then it stopped, and everything was completely quiet. Normally I don't get rattled, but I was pretty happy to get out of there for the night that time. Something was going on, and I have no idea what it was.
Hopefully I see/hear/catch some stuff tomorrow night! Wish me luck!
