Good point. But is semi regular talk show host of a morning show really "busy"? lol Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Candice Cameron Bure doing the View for at least the first season of Fuller House? exactly. That's pretty much what I said. Kinda wish I thought of that example

That works far better than it has any right to.

I first read this off Hollywood Reporter. Apparently Roseanne has already spoke about what happened to the characters, including Dan. I'd link it but I got some damn redirect, so not sure the link is safe. Dan faked his death, Becky works at Wal Mart, DJ gets published, David left Darlene for someone half her age, Mark was killed in Iraq, Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby Checking the story again, I guess she blogged it in 2009. So don't assume any of this is set in stone or is even considered for the new series. I can only assume this would be facetious, not to mention it doesn't make any sense, contradicting both versions of events presented on the show. Then again, this is Roseanne Barr, so who knows. First, those reaction pictures are just hilarious together. Second, these ideas are STUPID. I mean, really, really stupid. If someone were to ask me how they should do a Rosanne revival, I would say that the following things should be done differently: 1) Dan stays dead, since anything else just makes things worse. However, I can understand wanting to keep Goodman involved, so I would still find a way to involve him. I suspect that the best way to do so would be to have him appear to Rosanne either in her dreams or she can imagine having conversations with him to sort her feelings about the occurrences of the day. No one got that confused over Dexter talking to his dead father or brother. Granted, that is a different genre altogether but it can't be that hard to do well. 2) Based on the finale, David wasn't with Darlene anyways so he could not have left her. I think that if you cannot get the actor for this revival (I think he is on some other show - not sure if it is a success or not), then it would not be hard to have David and Becky to live in a different suburb of Chicago and he simply isn't around as much as Becky is. 3) Obviously Mark isn't available anymore unless you want to recast the character, but that is not impossible to deal with either. If you want to be respectful about it, the show ended before 9/11. You can say that the character enlisted after 9/11, was killed in combat, and left Darlene a widow. That way he is written out while giving him something of a heroic ending rather than saying he is in prison or broke up with Darlene for some reason.

No thank you. Nostalgia come back shows are not my thing. They are mine. Bring this one. John Goodman's Dan Connor is one of the best characters ever.

I'm guessing the easiest way to do the revival would be to do something like have the first episode open on Roseanne in the writing room that they closed on in the finale, beginning a sequel to her first book about how she imagines life would be in her ideal world after she left odd in the first book.

Have the show be about Darlene who is now a mother. Roseanne would only make limited appearances.
