Yeah, Forever Filly was a lot of fun and very cute. Curious to see how Parental Glideance shakes out. Also I better get a damn silly Rainbow Dash face.

As for the Fluttershy ep, it gets a five. I love that Fluttershy is finally being more assertive and that speech in the first act mentions how her friends helped her be that way. Plus I love her stance on wanting the sanctuary done her way. But the episode suffers from being painfully dull.

I like it.
It's not the most action packed episode and I did enjoy Fluttershy being more assertive.
Not the best episode by a long shot, I know I said I wouldn't rate eps but I'm giving it a 7 just so it doesn't finish under episodes weaker than it.

This episode pretty much showcasing how far Fluttershy has come. A victory lap episode. The down side is no on learned a lesson.
Fluttershy didn't learn anything, because the narrative was she was right all along. I mean not even a little compromise?
Well still an all right episode, at least for a Fluttershy episode.
My only worry is I hope Fluttershy did not break up the friendships of the experts and one of the mane 6, I mean those experts were doing their best, they are not bad, I hope Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Applejack will not hold a grudge, especially Applejack she sounded pissed. I don't want to see friendships broken because of Fluttershy.

"Fluttershy Leans In"...gets an 8/10 from me. Pros: -I thought the characterization of Fluttershy was pretty good in this one. Loved that she only just now had the courage to go through with her dream of building an animal sanctuary due to the lessons in standing up for herself she received through the others over the last six seasons. Her assertiveness was well measured and was a far cry from "Putting Your Hoof Down" and, to be honest, it felt deserved. If I had a vision and others went behind my back and did things their way, I would be pretty pissed off too. So overall, Fluttershy in this is the Fluttershy I love...or should I say Flutterbold? -Loved the fleshing out of Dr. Flummox...I mean, Dr. Fauna. Also bringing back Big Daddy McColt whose appearance actually made sense within the story. Season 7 really does seem like the season to flesh out more of the secondary/background characters and I like it. -While the "stick to your vision" story is something we have already seen (in "Canterlot Boutique" for example), I like this theme quite a lot because I feel the "main character has to compromise his vision after failing with his/her version of the vision" are done too often while the former feels a bit fresher in my opinion. -Liked the new additions to the animal kingdom in MLP like giraffes, sloths etc.. Very cute designs. -And every time Angel gets hurt is a bonus point in my books...like how Vince getting kicked in the balls gets a bonus star from Scott Keith every time. Cons: -I am not quite happy with the decision to create three new ponies to act as quasi "placeholders" for Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack. Perhaps they were afraid to let the three mane cast members come off as too jerkish, but I think it would have served as a nice subversion of "The Saddle Row Review" where this time doing things their way and not how Fluttershy wants was the wrong way. Not to mention that the three new ponies were pretty blah characters and only have their designs going for them. -The story moved at a leisurely pace and was for the most part..."nice". No particular highlights or go-out scenes compared to previous episodes make for a mellow kind of episode. But still, "Fluttershy Leans In" gets a deserved 8/10.

Final score for Forever Filly is... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}7.5/10.
Good solid character outing for both Sweetie Belle and Rarity, and an effective execution in melding the A and B plots. Nice demonstration of the CMC's progress and growth too, with this feeling like a natural continuation of the Fault in Our Cutie Marks.
It was a little slow in parts (that cold open could have been cut in half and not lost much) and the plot's in a weird spot of being dependent on the Crusaders having responsibilities since getting their Cutie Marks, but Rarity's characterization making a bit more sense if this episode had happened prior to that. Overall though, a nice bounceback from the nothing story of Fluttershy Leans In.

If any screencaps, gifs, discussions of Treehouse episodes are going to occur on here and not be in the Spoiler box, then I will be stepping away from this place for awhile. Sorry for being a traditionalist, but I'm not going to follow this mini-binge thing that Hasbro is having Treehouse do. I had a feeling it was going to ruin things for me here and it looks like it is coming to fruition. Sad that it is affecting my place here, but I at least like to go into a new episode with knowing very little.
Peace.

Then I guess I have to keep quiet about shows that are airing in my country for the next three months/rest of 2017 if there is a break.
Oh dear.

If I may chime in a suggestion for Alyce: Old Media Enthusiast, Eunös ✈, myself and for the sake of those such as GreyScaleLJH and @desertassassin. I'm not sure if that board is still up, but for the benefit of those who do not want to watch the Treehouse aired episodes but still wish to participate in these threads, perhaps we could move all talk about the episodes that air on Treehouse in advance of Discovery Family over to the back-up board we set up during the Wench days. I believe it's still up, as IIRC Nikki Heyman puts her stories on it. It would make things so someone doesn't have to actually do what Grey is planning on.
