Robin Williams' final film role - he voices Simon Pegg's dog - and probably the last film written/directed by Terry Jones (of Monty Python fame), with the rest of the Pythons all voicing characters.

I wonder why there was such a delay in the US release? You normally have films a month or so before us in the UK.

Strange as it may sound, it's not terribly uncommon. I remember Shaun of the Dead was out in the UK a year or two before it hit in the US. For some reason, British films seem to take longer to get to the US than vice-versa.

Thanks for the info, bud - I consider myself a slight film nerd and like to think I knew how the film industry worked. Apparently not!

Shaun of the Dead was out the same year of 2004. But there was a 6 months between. 29 March 2004 (London premiere) 9 April 2004 (United Kingdom) 24 September 2004 (United States)

Might have to do with distribution rights. Different countries get movies distributed by different companies. Especially smaller films that were done indie style so to speak.
As far as the movie goes, I have seen it as well. Wasn't bad, had some funny stuff in it and is worth at least one watch if you like Simon Pegg.
