Was reminded earlier that Johnny Carson's run on the Tonight Show ended on May 22, 1992 - 25 years ago - so I looked up what other shows ended that month, and sure enough...
Night Court MacGuyver Hee Haw (was in syndication) Superboy Jake & the Fatman The Golden Girls
And a mention of 3 notable shows that ended in late April:
Who's The Boss? Growing Pains The Cosby Show

Hee Haw was still a thing in 1992? I don't even know what to think about that.

Golden Girls and Growing Pains were my shit. The former had incredibly smart and funny dialogue and the latter had baby Leo!..(for bout a cuppa coffee)

Superboy was still running in '92? Holy crap, I didn't think that show made it out of the 80's alive.

The early 90s were an awkward time for pop culture IMO. The 80s didn't abruptly end, it was a slow, progressive death and then BLAH!

Hee Haw was still a thing in 1992? I don't even know what to think about that. Like Baywatch, most of its life and success was in syndicatio after an early cancellation.

I watched reruns of Superboy all the time as a kid. I've thought about buying the box set of the series, but I only want to watch the one episode where he chills his milk with his breath and fights some samurai looking guy.

I think Hee Haw at that point was called "Hee Haw Silver" and they often showed classic clips, but I do recall that one of their joke gimmicks as opposed to the cornfield were people walking on streets doing one liners-I think they wanted to make it hipper and less rural

For whatever reason nine year old me fondly remembers the Night Court episode where John Laroqeuttes character needs to run through a record setting number of court cases to get a date with this woman so he starts speed talking to finish on time but instead the lady goes with the 80 year old slow talking guy, stating she likes a man who can take his time.
So there's that.

So there's that. I liked the office pool he was involved with, whomever had the clients with the largest cumulative weight won. So, a large man comes in, Dan's going bat-shit: "Sweet Jabba the Hut! Lord, you gave me a mountain!" Then his 98 pound weakling brother confesses he did it, Dan's pissed: "DON'T LISTEN TO THIS PIPSQUEAK!"

I've thought about buying the box set of the series, but I only want to watch the one episode where he chills his milk with his breath and fights some samurai looking guy. I watched the first two seasons when I was a kid. I would've only been about eight or nine back then and I remember enjoying it at the time. I lost track of it when it changed time slots (and possibly stations) in my area. About two years ago I decided to marathon Lois and Clark from Netflix. And while it was corny and cheesy at times and the special effects aren't particularly good (seriously, it completely justifies Smallville's "no tights, no flights" rule), I found myself really enjoying it. When it ended I decided to see what other old DC shows Netflix had. They had the first season of Superboy so I figured I'd give it a try. They only had the first season available, apparently it was the only one that got a wide retail release, the rest of the seasons you need to order directly through Warner Brothers. And man, it was not good. Not at all. It made me feel bad for all the crap I gave Kristin Kreuk during her Smallville days. The actor they had playing Lex Luthor in the first season was literally the worst actor I've ever seen on a professionally produced television show. And his sidekick Leo, I can only describe their interaction as feeling like I'm watching a gay porn movie.

I remember a similar episode that had Wile E Coyote as a defendant, as in the actual animated model appeared on screen Roger Rabbit style. The writers were certainly fond of doing those HUGE backlog of cases in one night episodes.
