Does anybody remember when CD's has the "Enhanced CD" label on the artwork? Which meant that you could put the CD into your computer and get access to music videos or other things like a website or something similar. I wonder if those features would even work in this day and age. It seems that MS-DOS games would not even work on newer computers these days, so how could these types of CD's work on today's computers? I tried putting one into a computer and all you get is the audio.

I put Fiona Apple's third CD in my computer not too long ago and it just did not know what to do with it. Was able to get to everything by opening iTunes and searching that way.

I was building up my CD collection when these were coming out, so a bunch of my Iron Maiden cds are enhanced. I should open them on the computer and see what they do. Enhanced CDs. Takes me back to demo discs, and those cds put out by some music or entertainment company, that had music videos and such. Can't remember what those were, though.

I still have some myself. I think I should try experimenting with them to see if they work or not.

I bought the Rolling Stones "Stripped" cd the same day I got a computer and never did get it to work well then. Hard to believe that was cutting edge
I just looked up enhanced cd on youtube and found someone had uploaded some Britney Spears stuff from her album and I found the Virtual Stupidity game from Beavis & Butthead!

I loved Enhanced CDs. I never had the Internet until REAL LATER in the 00s, so those things were entertaining for me.

I got some good shit out of those things. I remember A Ghost Is Born by Wilco came with five bonus tracks, several of which are part of the canon to me now.

I'm sure WWF Volume 4 or 5 had this. I don't remember if WWF Vol. 5 was an actual enhanced CD or not, but I'm pretty sure if you put it in your computer it gave you a free download of (I think) Billy Kidman's theme. I have a few enhanced CD's, but haven't tried putting them in a PC in years

Probably right. 5 had the cover with Rock and a pie, don't remember for the life of me the cover of 6. Or buying the album. Know I had it, but totally don't remember 6.

The first one I had was the enhanced CD of I think Wu-Tang's second album? I had to go to the computer lab to play it.

A lot of that crap didn't even work back in the day. For example, I bought Aerosmith's Nine Lives on the very day that album came out, and the 'Enhanced CD' multimedia component never worked on a single computer I ever tried it on.
The only time I can remember 'Enhanced CD' content actually working was with Limp Bizkit's Significant Other CD, and that was around the time when CDs were on the verge of becoming irrelevant.
By the way, the same PCs that could play Limp Bizkit's 'Enhanced CD' content could not play Aerosmith's.

I have a copy of Ozzy Osbourne's The Ozzman Cometh (his 1997 greatest hits album) that included the music videos for Crazy Babies, I Just Want You, and Perry Mason and some game where the object was to smash Ozzy's bones (no really).

The only one I remember is my copy of Poodle Hat had Weird Al doing commentary over a bunch of his old home movies which he put that video up on his YouTube channel so there's no reason to even try that anymore if I wanted to watch it again. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zytJs7tvbEw
