So it's May fourth and I'm about to show my kids the original trilogy for the first time. They've seen the Clone wars cartoon and my son loves Rebels but this will be their first time watching the originals. Had to dig out the VCR for it cause we ain't watching no Special Editions in this house.

My son just had to double check and say "so all movies used to come on these things" talking about vhs tapes.
I told him that if we were at Nana and Pops house we'd be watching these on Laserdisc. That started a whole other conversation.

Started watching Episode 1 at 4 am on TBS. Skipped Episode 2, cause, Episode 2. Gonna try to catch the other ones. Happy 4th y'all.

Well, it is worth noting the only reason the return to Dagobah scene exists in ROTJ is because audiences didn't believe Vader was telling the truth and they needed confirmation from a trustworthy character. |
