I mentioned this a few days ago in a thread talking about Pennywise, but Tim Curry is probably my favorite actor of all time. I just love this guy; I love his ability to play overwhelmingly smug asshole villains, I love his ability of making shitty movies a bit more tolerable just with his mere presence, and I love his singing. Whether he's playing Dr. Frank N Furter, Drake the Penguin-Wolf, King Arthur on Broadway, or Nigel Thornberry, the guy always brings his A-game. And that's not to mention all the voice work he's done with video games and his old music career. I was so upset when I heard about his stroke a few years ago, but I'm glad to see he's pulled through and still manages to lend his voice here and there. Pretty damned impressive for a guy in his 70s.
And I also have to give a mention to my favorite action star of all time: Jackie Chan. The guy is always entertaining, the stunts he's pulled off (and almost died doing) are insane, his entire "Anything can be a weapon" fighting style is both awesome and hilarious, and Drunken Master 2 (AKA: Legend of the Drunken Master) is one of my favorite movies ever. And to think, when he started out people wanted him to be just another Bruce Lee imitator.
And while it's still a little too early to consider her an all-time favorite, I will say that I've really been digging Anna Kendrick over the last few years. I'm really hoping she keeps impressing in years to come.

Gene Hackman and Harrison Ford. Hackman has been in some crap films but he's never been crap in any of them. Hollywood just hasn't been the same since he retired. Ford is the ultimate movie star. Just to have played one of Han Solo, Indiana Jones or Rick Deckard would have been a pretty great career highlight.

My favorite actor changes constantly. It's always a toss-up between Jack Nicholson, Jimmy Stewart, Harrison Ford, or Michael Keaton. I love Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone as well. So yeah, it's hard for me to pick and stick with just one.
Favorite actress is kinda the same. On any given day I'd pick Julianne Moore, Sigourney Weaver, or Helen Bonham Carter.

Christopher Lee, Michael Fassbender, Robin Williams, Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Patrick Stewart. I also tend to enjoy Owen Wilson, he's got a likeable goofball charisma about him.
If I see any of those cast my interest in a movie rises.
On the other hand my interest plummets if I see Johnny Drop, Mel Gibson, Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler in the cast list.

As a person? Harrison Ford.
Acting wise? It changes. It was Depp for a while, RDJ for a while...these days? Probably Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender.

Most of the people on my list are kind of weird picks because if someone has played a distinct role in a favorite movie of mine, they're automatically on the list:
The guy from Oldboy, I always call him Oldboy Bae Doona has been in so many quality movies and is consistently the best part of said movies. Her best role is Air Doll though. Takeshi Kitano Josh Brolin Shinya Tsukamoto Matt McConaughey Forest Whitaker John C. Reilly John Depp is on the list just being in Dead Man which is probably my second favorite movie of all time Steve Seagal, and I mean that in all seriousness Chiaki Kuriyama for being in Exte, Kill Bill, and Battle Royale, and also looking so cool and pretty Naomi Watts for Mulholland Drive Cher because I love Cher

I'm not so good at picking favorites, but DeNiro has got to be up there for me.

I don't really have a favorite actor/actress. But I'm going to use this thread to praise an actress that's been blowing me away the past couple of years. And that's Carrie Coon, from The Leftovers and Fargo. She is an incredible actress. Especially in The Leftovers.

Arnold easily...with Sly Stallone, Mel Gibson, Burt Reynolds, Kurt Russell, Hugh Jackman and others making a strong running in the race.

He's been in a lot of crappy movies for the past few decades, and while I feel those roles have tarnished his career, Robert De Niro's earlier performances (and the dedication he put into preparing for those roles) makes him, hands-down, the greatest actor I've ever seen.
I'm also a big fan of Al Pacino, but he doesn't seem to have the same range as De Niro. Maybe I like Pacino for his charisma more than for his ability.
Angela Bettis is my favorite actress.

Samuel L. Jackson is up there. I'd consider him one of the great villain actors alongside Gary Oldman or Kevin Spacey.
Other people I'll actively pay to see are Charlize Theron, Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Thompson, Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Chris Evans, Ving Rhames, Rachel McAdams, John C. Reilly, Cary Grant, Robert DeNiro, John Goodman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone, Robert Redford, Daniel Day-Lewis, Don Cheadle and Jessica Chastain.
As of recently, Mahershala Ali and Oscar Isaac have been crushing it.
Oh, and I forgot Jeff Bridges.
