Probably Chicago's World's Columbian Exposition, since I'm most familiar with the legacy of it.
The 1964 World's Fair in New York is another contender, to see Disney's Carousel of Progress in its initial context

The 1939 World's Fair in New York. I want to see Flushing Meadows in its prime. And it was also the site of the first ever Worldcon.
