Heard about him passing earlier. Always enjoyed seeing him show up in stuff. Scary as hell as Jim Jones, then cool as hell in Brandon Lee's "Rapid Fire". Rest in peace, sir. EDIT:

Just as it looked like they might be making new Deadwood.
Shame, love his work.
RIP

Aw. Awe f***. He's one of those actors that I always loved seeing pop up in a movie or show, always capable of stealing a scene. RIP

Never saw a performance from Boothe I didn't enjoy, and goddamn did he have one of Hollywood's all-time great voices or what? Not long after Bill Paxton.. who also played a villain character in Agents of SHIELD And they both starred in Tombstone.

That's too bad. My dad knew him in college. He was a great character actor, especially in villainous roles. I loved him in Tombstone. RIP

Been thinking this morning, and while Powers Boothe was always a devilishly scary villain in many films, and just one of those actors who I assume ALWAYS played villains, I couldn't put my finger on the one role of his that cemented him in my mind as a villain. Then I remembered him as Jim Jones. Vaguely, barely. But that was it. I was terrified of him since. Thankfully I got smart enough to realize he was acting that way, and he did a damn good job of it. RIP sir.

I feel this is the appropriate way to say farewell to an actor who did a phenomanal job in everything he did:

R.I.P
He had a hell of a voice and was one of those actors who was good in anything he appeared in.
