So I had a consultation about my wisdom teeth through the nightmare that is the Australian public dental system. Then I had something really unexpected happen... The dentist had a look at the top front right (from my point of view) row and asked if I had gotten any pain there and yes... lately it had been sore when brushing my teeth.

She and the other dentists think I may have an extra tooth. I'll have to get a 3D look at it to confirm it before anything can be done. This is really weird, anybody else have that too? I was hoping impacted wisdom teeth was my only issue.

When I got braces, they had to pull two of my upper teeth in addition to my wisdom teeth

I have a wisdom tooth that never grew in. A dentist wanted to cut into my head to remove it. It's not disturbing anything and it doesn't bother me so I told him no. He got upset and said I shouldn't care because my insurance would cover it. I told him I had no interest in him digging in my head when it wasn't necessary. Some people are just too greedy.

I do have something even more unique. I have torus palatinus and torus mandibularis. Torus palatinus is an extra bone under the skin up in the roof of my mouth. I can touch it with my tongue. It's smooth. It doesn't bother me at all. Torus mandibularis are extra bones under the skin behind my bottom teeth. It's not a problem either but it makes holding that metal thing for the X-ray rather painful because it digs into it.

I have a front tooth that is longer than any of my other teeth like the circus freak of sabertooth tigers.

I have...had...three extra teeth. One is growing in the back of my lower left gums and I'll need to get it pulled one day. Another compacted my front teeth and was the most intense tooth pain I've ever had. That sucker is long gone.

My wife's niece has her wisdom teeth growing in upside down. I didn't even know that was possible. But she is getting them removed.

I have 3 front teeth, instead of 2, and an extra bottom tooth. Neither cause any pain, but the bottom tooth sticks out some.

An update on this... I have the extra tooth but it is connected to one of my front teeth. Part of it will be taken out while I get my wisdom teeth out.

Good news, I found a dentist that can get you in right away. The bad news is he usally works on Abominable Snowmonsters.
